Cost wise RAW is about the same for normal food, we actually save a bit as Chewie was on v expensive hypoallergenic stuff as he’s allergic to food storage mite(vac packs/freezing etc, royal pain).
You will need freezer space, we’ve got a small chest freezer in the shed as dog food freezer. We get stuff from local butcher, ground up leftovers I think, as well as natures path stuff. Keep the mix varied and don’t forget vegetable bits as well. We also use a wholesaler type place near Gatwick which is working out slightly cheaper.
Also prepare/start defrosting tomorrow’s meal after you’ve dished out today’s meal.
You also become an expert on No.2 analysis………(usually its they need a bit more vegetable matter)
Watching Ahsoka demolish a chicken carcass was stomach churning but she loved it. Chewie when first introduced to raw picked the chicken wings out of the bowl spat them on the floor and gave Mrs M a proper Peter Kay look of “What do you call this rubbish? Where’s me biscuits. I’m not eating this…..ITS NOT COOKED!”
