As I country I don’t think we are too bad at being green, especially compared to China/Russia/USA, maybe they should go to those countries and start gluing themselves to trains.

Oh but they won’t because here they’ll get tutted at by the police and a small fine whereas in China or Russia I expect the police will be removing them from the trains with an angle grinder or machete before throwing them in prison for years!

They only way we’ll save the planet is by at least a 50% population cull.

Polecats hunt rats, the name comes from the French, Pouletchat (chickencat) as they were often found in chicken runs hunting rats (though some egg borrowing may well also have occurred).

Ferrets (domesticated Polecats) have also been used as rodent control.

Yes Kimbers, they pissed oil for the first summer I rode on them but since they’re over winter service the errrr seepage problems are much less

2015 36 here, 11 1/2 stone wet.  Full PUSH coil conv and racing bros low friction seals (I found these took at least 500 miles to bed in).  Lovely supple feel and very happy compared to the harsh jarring feel on the air damper

Anywhere near Bude; Crackington Haven, Widemouth, Sandy Mouth and my favourite; Duck Pool beach (low tide is best and even a small swell has a lot of oomph).   Ask Dept 26 regarding local riding but Dartmoor is and hour away.

Brian Simpson the “motorcycle racer healer” has an HB chamber.  Looks like an awful lot of money on capital plant to shell out for snake oil.

Bluetooth is low power and limited range, also your in a reasonable faraday cage car body, ok the windscreen will leak RF but not sure how penetrating BT is.  As for telling if you have a phone on, possibly if you’ve got a call in progress or watching/listening to something and hence occupying a timeslot for a lot of cycles but SMS will only be a brief data burst and probably indistinguishable from data exchange/performance tweaking between the cell and the phone.

I doubt very much a 6K box will be able to analyse the transmitted data and tell what type it is.  Our 30K JDSU analysers couldn’t when looking at GSM 2.5G RF.

long day of DIY, had some short bits of 4×2 left at the end which I thought id chop for kindling, got distracted, swung hatchet and bounced it off finger bone at the knuckle.  Lots and lots of blood, trip to A&E, sadistic nurse made me wash it out.  it was then stitched and next day I was leading a club ride….

Yep 0V if measured on a 12v lead acid battery will mean its dead.  Deep discharged.  We had this on old telecoms kit where if running on batteries due to a power failure it would keep going till the battery was pulled down to 0V and killed.  More modern kit has a cut out relay that stops this happening by opening up when the battery is discharged to a certain point thus saving the battery.

Our old Focus had a similar issue to yours which  eventually manifested itself as a short circuit alternator (which killed the battery in the process)

It’s not good enough, I’ve worn it all day and nothings fallen off, chipped or ripped despite the sick lines I took sitting in the chair at work.  How can I complain when its all good!

Mrs M had this, steroid injection failed to do anything, had to have it cut out.  Very painful after op and long recovery but no problems since.

Sports bikes 17 inch (some older had an 18 rear, which limited your tyre choice to Michelin “Hyside” Sports or Japanese-no-grip-ever-lasts….go ask me how I know, I’m not bitter……..)

Race bike dabbled with 16.5 but I’m not sure wether that’s petered out now

oh and the earlier Fireblades had a 16 inch front which led to some interesting handling foibles.

Tried out my new Blaupunkt mower this week, tis awesome but the blade will need regular sharpening regularly. Build quality seems better than my old Bosch which lasted years.

Here on the South Downs the full Sussers are out, all the Gnarpoons have been dusted off (with their 160mm of travel which is a necessity here in the Sussex Alps).

Pretty soon it’ll be getting dusty and people will be whining for a little rain to damp the talcum powder down!

It’ll stay that way through March and early April before dissolving into a quagmire of epic proportions and I’ll be back out on the SS hardtail with Michelin muds
