Rogue 1 I really liked, TFA & TLJ were so so but as pointed out its aimed at 8 year olds not me (50 going on 12😁 according to Mrs M).  I’ll wait till it comes out on disc and watch it then. oh and why are they still using Y-Wings they’ve been a DEATH TRAP from the first movie?😂

Really hoping the new Dune film will be good. and true to the book.

Not at that age, 3 owners in a year old car then I would be trying to contact them to see why they’d got shot of it.

The Friston Irregulars I ride with always joke that at least one World Cup DH course ought to have a shady, fast, rooty, off camber corner made from Sussex chalk sprayed with water for at least a week before the race, with a large grassy runoff area and lots of cameras.

Indeed, hat off to both teams for walking off.  The sooner this becomes the norm the better.

Nothing works on green chalk, I just tend to keep the speed up to transition the peril zone quicker.  Too many times I’ve heard people say it’s a bit slippery I slow down and then come too grief.  Michelin Wild Muds are the best I’ve found so far and I run then at 18psi (but that’s marginally grippier, not massively grippier).  Todays outing on a 2.6 Rekon up front and a minion ss on the rear was entertaining at best with both wheels spending a lot of time at angles vastly different from direction of travel/intended direction of travel.

Not much to say as it’s already been said but look after yourself, wife and kids first.

My mate had three , all suffered from no start on a hot engine, the number of times we had to bump start it in Crawley high street was depressing

Shot themselves well and truly in the foot with this one.  All its done is wind up frustrated commuters and any eco thoughts they were having will have well and truly been over written with “those eco-loons made me late for work/hospital appointment etc”

Trackside foliage is cut back on a regular and scheduled basis, whilst bearing in mind nesting season and bank stability issues.  It was a clear Rule 1 violation for which she paid the ultimate price.  Where was the common sense ? It could equally have been a signal gantry, OHLE stanchion, other train that she got clipped by.  You wouldn’t stick your head out of a car on a motorway would you?

Feek with trains and they will kill you and it will hurt all the time you are dying.  People climb railway fences, ignore signage or red lights and get hit, juiced up or both and its the Railways fault that the fence isn’t high enough or the signage doesn’t give adequate descriptions of the death you will suffer.

I’ve worked on the railway for nearly 27 years and the stupidity and the idiocy of the public rivals sheep for their ability to find new and innovative ways of killing or feeking themselves up!

Mrs M would have a liquid sodium based radiator network in the house if she could.  Wood burner churning through an acre of Amazonian rainforest every night and the thermostat buried in the red and she’s still COLD?  Me and the dogs are melting on the floor.

He needs a common sense manager for his social media accounts.  He’s being a bit of a blithering idiot outside the car.

Oh that’s class.  Step Dad’s Mum had Bright Side of life played at her funeral.  Most thought it hilarious but a few of the older more religious members of the congregation didn’t know where to look.

I’m having the Imperial March played as my coffin is carried in (actually its going to be a photon torpedo casing) and the end credits theme music to Flash Gordon at the end of the ceremony.

Judges in MegaCity One used (will use?) a foul smelling, permanent green dye they sprayed on hooligans.  Initially it stank for a few weeks before washing off and if the trouble carried on, the dye and stench went up to 3 months persistence.

I’ve got some Lake 303’s that I can just about use on flat pedals, I’ve ordered the cleat pad replacement kit and once fitted I’ll report back as to how good they are on flats.

Talk about getting sucked into something….

That build was always going to go way over budget.  Geology and weather can be a swine.   A salutary lesson to anyone building their own home.

Also ahem how much of the budget went on planning permissions?

    B5

    Voyager

    DS9

TNG – maybe skip to the one where Q introduces the Borg so First Contact makes sense

TOS – needs to see Space Seed as that leads to Wrath of Khan Movie

Discovery is a bit flash/bang not quite ST but still enjoyable.

When you’ve got the Russians and Chinese and USA and Canada (oil sands production) still largely ignoring the problem any attempts this tiny country make are just a drop in the ever deepening ocean.

Just imagine if the Russians, Chinese, Americans and Canadians could see an example of a modern industrialised economy that transitioned to sustainable fuels…

Short of delivering fusion on a plate to them, they won’t be interested.  That and superconducting power lines.  Until then you will always need coal/gas/nuclear as a back stop for when the sun don’t shine and its a calm day.  I’d love the Severn tidal barrage to be built but not every country can have one and tidal/wave power wont work for everyone.  Even if you could generate loads of energy with coastal wave and tidal, you still have to ship it and UHVdc transmission will only get it so far into huge continental areas like Russia, China and the US.

I don’t think they’re doing a good job of getting the public onside, just winding up the travelling public in London.  When you’ve got the Russians and Chinese and USA and Canada (oil sands production) still largely ignoring the problem any attempts this tiny country make are just a drop in the ever deepening ocean.

I support the idea, even if we are way past the point of no return, but they really are preaching to the converted so they should take the protests elsewhere and try and influence the worst polluters.
