You will need to find a 5 year old Thinkpad or older, those are bombproof and nothing today have that solid feel to it.
The build quality went down the drain for most laptop manufacturer when focus suddenly was on bigger screens and weight.

Elaine, i have used Merrels for biking lots and not had any issue with the sole wearing out due to pins. In fact all my last pairs of Chameleons the upper part have come apart before the sole.

Also got a pair of 5.10s and dont find there is a huge ammount of difference in how sticky they are over the Merrels.

get whatever color lenses you want, then use a file ( or dremel) and turn them into vented lenses in 2 min.
Tried on some old m frame lenses and its easy enough to file away vents without breaking the lenses.

Didn't Massa say in the press conference that he let Alonso pass him because it was best for the team?
And claimed it was his decision alone.

It will be interesting to see how they explain that the order didn't alter the result.

Most likely just the flex in fork making the disc touch the brake.

BT have a tendency of telling you that there is no line.
Even if you have dial tone and BT line tests available.

Not so much why the cyclist do it, but more why do the system allow for them suing the landowner.
The cyclists suing are idiots but the system is even more idiotic for allowing them to do it.

we just recently got virgin broadband and phoneline, we instantly had lots of calls like that.
That before we had actually given our number to anyone, so can only assume its Virgin themselves who sell our numbers……..

Not the most exiting animal as such but once spend 10 min watching 4 Fox cubs play, from just 3m away.

And watching Beavers swim close to my canoe in Sweden was also realy cool.

Seen a bear right by the road in Yosemite, when there is 20 plus cars parked by the road to watch it, it just doesn't seem that special.

"Other than an "our boy" bias, is there any reason for thinking Wiggins is any more likely to be clean than the rest of the peloton?"

He's been vary scathing of dopers in both his book and in the news. He's turn out to be one of the biggest hypocrites of all time should he ever test positive.

Sounds like you are describing Bjarne Riis there, exept Bjarne didnt test positive, but after god know how many years admitted to having been doped……….

Been ages ago as a child, have very fond memories of Bornholm.
Should be some nice riding there, its also the only place in Denmark to have a official downhill track!!

I did it with ebygomm, and am from the west coast of Denmark aswell. the route is mostly on cycle paths, which varies from tarmac to hardpack surface and in the forests gravel road.
its all very well surfaced and can be done on any bike maybe with the exeption of a super light weight road bike.

its Politics more than anything that complicates this issue.
The ships patrolling the area to stop pirats have caught more of them in the act, but due to no country beeing willing to prosecute them, they where set free, without their boat and weapons.

The Navy ships have forced the pirats further out to sea, they where somehow succefull, but now that the pirats are further out, the area they need to cover is suddenly much bigger.
They are surveying a number of bigger "motherships" but due to their rules of engagment cant do anything unless they catch them while attempting to borde a ship.

As said this will only be stoped fully the day they solve the problems on land which is causing these people to become pirats.

I can understand your concerns, that area around Ringkøbing fjord, is the middle of nowhere as far as you can get in Denmark, its personal preference wheter you like that kinda of place.
If not for them having the factory for windturbines, there wouldnt be much chances of a job in the area either.

Its Farming and Fishing around there, and not much fishing left.
Its flat like Lincolshire right around the fjord, but the coast itself is stunning, and it isnt far to some big plantations with alot of singletrack. There is a mountainbiking club not far from Lem aswell. You could also try taking up windsurfing, the fjord is briliant for that, as you dont risk beeing blow out to see (the coast around there is quite a busy spot for the SAR helicopters in summer lol)

Dont think you will have problems finding friends in Denmark though.(you can always get my brothers tel nr and call him saying you got a few beers ;)

Think might best advice at the moment will be to go over there for a visit and have a tour round the area to see for youself.
Easily done in a weekend with a flight to Billund, ofcourse renting a car can be quite pricy, but could possible help set you up with someone to take you for a little tour if interested.

Btw you need to remember there is no Marmite to be had in Denmark, but ofcourse it could be an added bonus.
And if you are a marmite addict, i do ship Marmite over ever so often for a couple of friends who loves the stuff :)

There is only one downhill track in Denmark, on the island of bornholm.
But in the forrest around Silkeborg there is some nice fast descents to be had.

You cant even compare Esbjerg with Grimsby, Esbjerg is quite a nice place realy. Lots of stuff to do, superb swimming stadion, and lots of very active sports clubs, even got a famous music house and museum.
Ofcourse i was born there so am a little biased.

And it doesnt even smell of fish anymore, they found a magic way of removing the fish smell from the harbour, a harbour which is mostly used to service oil rigs these days + some container traffic.

I might try that on one of my bikes, it can be hard work finding anyone with the correct jockey wheels for X9.

Remember asking for some in a local shop and was given some which he claimed would fit, had to go an attempt to put them on before he believed me that they would not fit.

There is nothing around there, exept for super nice beaches and long flat roads, perfect for road biking.

Is the job for Company making windturbines by any chance? cant think of anything else out there.

Im from the westcoast myself and i prefer that part of the country to copenhagen. You would defenetly need a car out there though.

Ohh and have they told you what Lem means?
