I have seen an occasion where a damaged port caused the layers in a PDF to be printed incorrectly and slow printing, might be worth a look also see what happens if you switch off bidirectional printing.

I haven’t seen the gigabit option yet tbh the normal one works just fine even with biggish files

The metis c3503 is normal quick to print and generally problem free print wise.

That file types are you printing and from what application? And what drivers are you using , 3503 pcl6 P’s or the universal driver.

I would connect a laptop directly and print directly and see what happens

It’s been on digital copiers since they came out, more info here

HOWTO read the secret forensic dots in your laser-printer output

If you use a linen tester (magnifying glass) you can see it or scan the output and convert yellow to black. Yellow is the hardest colour for human eyes to see so its quite hard to see.

I wouldn’t print or copy anything on a colour MFD like money etc as it can be traced back to the machine besides they have anti counterfeit measures which stop money from being outputed.

I know nothing about getting off your speeding fine but I would be very careful of stating you have audio recording of the conversation as some states have very heavy laws regarding wiretapping. DEFINATELY check first otherwise the speeding fine will be the least of your worries

Check out the BMFA website they have all the info you need, they look after model aircraft flying in the UK under the CAA who are the regulators. If the person sold the PIC and isn’t licenced then they are breaking the law same as if they are haven’t got the landowners permission to fly from their land.

The guys flying over a busy beach (assuming the drone went over people)were also breaking the law. Lots of people are flying drones all over the place with no idea of the regulations or safety issues which is OK till it goes wrong as I bet they don’t have valid insurance.

For rats remove the food source get or make a trigger feeder as for fox’s invest in an electric energiser. Mole valley farmer one works well don’t bother with a poultry fence use chicken wire then run some horse tape around the outside its way more effective as it doesn’t shortnout so easy.

It wasnt that high tbh as there was no wind and no low air pressure, so in Bristol it just got into the floating harbour. Which is great for all the people and businesses who are as risk of flooding but did look very nice.

What do you expect when they only get paid 40p ish per parcel to deliver to your house.

When the cost gets pushed down and down something has got to give.

As above get a small B\W laser printer they are much the same just have a look in to how much the consumables cost and see what toner cartridge is shipped with the unit. As often they are fitted with start cartridges which fun out straight away.

^^^^^^agreed also often they sit on the side forward of their car whilst they would be much safer 10’behind

Many moons ago a neighbour was killed in an incident like that. They had just got married and bought house (late 70s) when on the way back from Cornwall late at night they stopped in a layby to brew up when a lorry wheel got detached and killed the husband and crushed the car then bounced away. Due to that and my colleague (recently) seeing a horrific accident where the guy in the layby received life changing injuries when he was knocked by an ambulance into a lorry I now try to avoid them.

Rockhopper you can’t burn house coal in a multifuel stove at all,
    http://www.pearsonsofduns.co.uk/should-you-use-household-coal-in-your-wood-burning-or-multi-fuel-stove/

If you like Stockton stoves have a look at Kendal stoves same mother company Stovax but cheaper well ours was, worth a look that’s for sure

I took my bike several times (a rigid raleigh technuim chill)there and had some fun times. Mainly on road once topping 40+ riding down to English bay, after a swim one of the guys suggested perhaps it wasn’t the brightest thing to do as the medical facilitys there only extend to a doctor and nurse. With the airbridge only twice a week .
If you do get to go try and take a bike it is a fantastic place to explore the sights and the various bars but don’t get injured, the ride up to the top of green mountain is a must.

If you do go please take some pictures and post them here I would love to go back but it is a tad expensive.

^^^ this contrary to what the fashion victims would have you believe a ting bell/horn or a old school ringing bell are essential if you are using a shared path. A couple or rings as you approach from behind and they move to one side combined with a cheers as you go past and off you go.

I learnt a long time ago that if somebody is being a grumpy argumentative sod just be full of the joys of spring and bouncy about how nice it is to be outside and to ignore their moaning and if you are feeling in a mischievous mood talk over them as they start to rant about how you saw a rare bird plant etc it will drive them nuts and will shut them up. Don’t let them drag you down to their level and spoil your day

Toner for a electrostatic copier/printer is basically just coloured plastic powder and depending on the model sometimes a bit of magnite.

It is easy to clean up just use a vacuum cleaner that can cope with very fine particles. If unsure call out the company who service it and ask very nicely if they could send an engineer with a VAC as they will all carry a specialist VAC for toner.

Don’t use a crappy VAC as it will just suck in the toner and then blow it straight back out again and in the worse case explode.

Get hold of the rep asap as they deal with this sort of thing regularly, when my colleagues kids were ill in Egypt the reps sorted out accommodation etc and helped get new flights booked all with no stress.

What is scary is that we have just 6 aircraft deployed with 2 in action at a time, the number of squadrons have been drastically cut in the last few years the RAF isn’t what it used to be by a long shot.Fortunately the USAF is still capable.
Not sure A10 etc would be much good as there has been plenty of info about how vulnerable they are to modern manpads . The harrier had quite a limited range and low loiter time which isn’t good for ground attack.

A modern ground attack/support aircraft or drone would be desirable in a 21st century Royal Air Force but I doubt they will get one
