There was a piece about this on the R4 news this morning unfortunately I missed the first part but in the second they said i phones are way to much money for the Chinese market as the average wage is $8K US per annum also after Samsung the next biggest manufacturers of phones are Chinese, the program is probably on catch up by now

    Pacemaker

what is the ball park figure for the 250 class setup excluding tx RX

racing in a multistory carpark sounds like a lot of fun although the crashes must be quite heavy and damaging.

nice and wordy reply but just admit it you are wrong

the CAA have prosecuted a couple of people so far and the following is a quote from the police

Chief Inspector Nick Aldworth, from the Met’s Specialist Operations Command, and lead officer on the misuse of drones, said the public should be aware of the regulations surrounding drone use.

“As drones become more widely available, it’s important that anyone using this type of small aircraft understands that there are strict regulations on how and where they can be flown and that police, in partnership with the CAA, will look to prosecute anyone who does not follow these rules.

there is more info on restrictions on drones here and the legal situation regarding filming people and the data protection act

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/news/11541504/Where-is-the-legal-line-in-flying-drones.html

    https://www.caa.co.uk/Commercial-industry/Aircraft/Unmanned-aircraft/Small-unmanned-aircraft/

Drones are not and have never been toys other than the very small indoor ones.

Model aircraft have been flown for many years safely under the control of the BMFA unfortunately the vast majority of the drones are flown with no regard or knowledge of the law or of safe operation of their craft.

The status quo will not continue if there are more incidents.

^^^ and wasn’t sugar the cause of blocked arteries as it causes the lining to become irritated and causes cholesterol to become attached?. Also wasn’t the link to high cholesterol and heart disease been scattered as the research was found to be flawed.
Or did I dream it all

the you are wrong was in reference to your quote

    scaremongering

There is no if the CAA are looking into the use of drones (quad copters etc) look at the BMFA website and their bimonthly magazine for more info.

You may not be aware but people are programming a flight path into the onboard autopilots and then sending them off. I have seen a clip of a drone being flown at Weston-super-mare which at some points must have been 3\4 of a mile from the operator defiantly not within visible line of site. Also to fly you need the landowners permission and if used frequently planning permission.

I have watched a guy fly a FPV racing quad and it looks to be lots of fun and have chatted to a coup!e of people who have the required permits to fly drones/quads commercially. They were all concerned about people flying illegally as it will end up on restrictions being introduced.

As for insurance useless flying in a remote location you would be stupid not to have any.

Raising people’s awareness of the dangers and legal position and the fun is detailed here

and hopefully there won’t be a reoccurrence of this, where a young boy lost an eye

scaremongering. Stay away from people, buildings and aircraft and don’t make money from it, no problems. Issue is only with perceived dangerous use of drones, with a sly streak of protectionism of existing commercial air ops as an underlying theme.

    No you are wrong

The CAA are looking at the use of drones with increasing interest due to the illegal operation and complaints they have received. Dangers ? well there are several for one the blades will shred flesh and one dropping from the sky due to a failure isn’t good. Also I bet nearly all the people using them have no insurance or are aware of the law in operating an aircraft. Yes I said aircraft as that is what it is in the eyes of the law and how they and all model aircraft are regulated.
Hopefully the BMFA and the fledgling FPV association with the CAA can sort out some sensible rules and guidance.

why do you think dredging on the Somerset levels has made any difference the vertical drop on the parrot is only 1′ a mile from langport to Bridgewater. Reducing the quick run off into the rivers would make more of a difference as stated by George Monbiot http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2015/dec/29/deluge-farmers-flood-grouse-moor-drain-land

Huta just get a mono laser printer they are cheap and the quality is ok.

They can be switched off and left for months and still print ok.

Using a print shop is ok but many have a minimum charge of £5-20 and tend to use a normal office colour copier for walk in customers.

The traffic in both Cardiff and Bristol is rubbish due to way too many people driving to work, Cardiff edges ahead as if the M4 has a problem you are stuffed with few to no other options. Cardiff’s CBD is compact whilst Bristol is spread out in clumps, both have much the same shops crap and good and both have some rather grotty suburbs. The bay development has made Cardiff a much better place than it used to be.
As to the OP question Exeter and Bristol are very different places go and spend a week in both and see what you think?.

Mr nutt and scruff here are the facts please read them

Christie’s do own the land and have leased it out and have almost doubled the rent in the last 4 years and the council have put up buisness rates by 81%. So who do you think are responsible for an increase in the cost of parking.

personally I would rather the car park was owned by the council and run for the benefit of the community and visitors like the Northam burrows

I really don’t get the but we are local we should get free\cheap access, do you think this should be extended to cities ?

The people who are making lots of money from this are the Cristie estates Devon Trust who own thousands of acre’s in Devon more info below

[/quote] One sure fire way to kill North Devon as a tourist destination is to price it out of the reach of locals

^^^ oxymoron locals are not tourists and can you explain why tourists should pay more than locals. A season ticket for low season use would be good but it is a private carpark and has to pay its way

don’t remove the speed restrictor or use a “dongle” as if you get caught (I know a slim chance but bare with me) you will get lots of points on your driving licence and your bike confiscated as it will be classed as a moped. Boring I know but not as bad as waiting for a bus which has been cancelled in the rain.

Just go to the local flue suppliers and haggle, I found the price online and went to the local suppliers and was quoted retail but it soon changed to normal prices when I said I was paying cash and was fully aware it would be a trade sale (can’t take it back) then fit it yourself it’s not hard just read regulations which are all over the net just search J regs stove. We were quotes £900 just for the flue and it cost all of about £250 and a cake for a mate to go on the roof and drop the liner down.
