the tyro training course is a City and Guilds level 3 qualification and it appears that the Seaward training is a certificate for completing an independant test set by themselves endorsed by NAPIT (The National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers)…
Not too sure on the minimum requirements for Pat testing (I have the C&G but have been an electrician for 30 years)
There are two lads where I work who did a little one day course to use PAT tester but they really struggle with different appliances, correctly identifying type and test as they do not have the electrical experience to be sure……Make sure you have public liability insurance in case you get it wrong and hurt someone, you know what H+S are like nowadays.Mikey65Free MemberI have to sit down as I have a bad back and the doctor has told me not to lift anything heavy 😆
Mikey65Free Memberput our house on the market on a Thursday, viewed on the Saturday and sale agreed there and then for a buy to let…completed today after only 4 weeks…..we are now renting it back for a month while our purchase completes in August…..House sold for a little less than desired but worth it to get it sold…..anything priced right will sell
Mikey65Free MemberHave some prescription half jackets which I have had for several years and used for cycling and snowboarding with no probs but have just purchased some Hilco Leader sport glasses fron Specsavers and they are superb for riding, especially off road and they are cheaper than Oakleys…they are doing BOGOF at moment and I had one pair as reactions and one pair darkened….worth a look
Mikey65Free MemberHope the roads are in better shape this year….I did this ride 2 years ago and was just behind Mark Webber getting pulled along nicely at about 25mph when his mate, to whom he was having a nice chat, stacked it big style in a pothole and wiped me out in the process when his bike came bouncing over and knocked me into the hedgerow…..never mind I got to speak to Webber and had 3 weeks off work watching the Tour De France.
Mikey65Free MemberEurosport is the main broadcaster on this one…much better coverage than the other tours with all the major days covered pretty well…Eurosport depends on what other events are on at the same time so if any tour/race clashes with another major event then the coverage gets iffy….There is also the Eurosport player, which is available for a small monthly payment, which allows streaming to PC,s…always handy for work.
Mikey65Free MemberHave checked fuses etc, but cannot see the pressure sensors……will do some more poking around and perhaps overide the coil to the clutch to see what happens…thanks for info.

Mikey65Free MemberOsiris Sport – got mine from specsavers after a good hunt round….very good all round vision and wind protection especially good with reaction lenses.
Mikey65Free Memberenjoy rubbing it in to all the Jocks living down here who hate England…. especially the ones who seem to be prisoners in a country they despise.
Mikey65Free MemberHow do you know it wasn't a trick to lure you back to be ripped to shreds…..cycle past tomorrow and count how many dogs are out 😀
By the way…shame on you not being able to outsprint a bunch of terriers 😥
Mikey65Free Memberare good dogs allowed on the campsite for the weekend? with good owners of course.
Mikey65Free Memberit is a nice drive down to the alps and took us about 10 hours from the tunnel exit….
there were two of us and we swapped over every 3 hours ish….long way solo !!!!
there are plenty of campanile motels en route to stopover which would make it a longer but safer option.
When are you going ?? was thinking of going myself this year.
you can take out european breakdown insurance if required for a reasonable fee.
definately easier driving down there than you think.Mikey65Free MemberAlways sad when kids are involved but there is hope for the future.
I was seperated from my two girls when they were two and one years old.
Lots of problems with ex wife's demands and denials for visiting etc. but
perserverance paid off.Keep it calm and listen to what is being said and try and come to a decision that puts the child's interests at heart first.
I know how hard it is, believe me, but as time goes on , it does ease and can also improve.
It is a difficult thing to hear , but I have gone through exactly the same thing, but what is important is that when you do have contact, it is quality time.
I neither agree or disagree with the request not to call every night, but I do see the sense as unfortunately things do change.
Your daughter will still love you and indeed look forward to when you do call.
I found that kids just need stability and if that means their Dad calls on Tuesdays and Thursday or just Wednesday to see what they have been up to ( because that is what Mum wants )and sees them on Saturday and/or Sunday then they will look forward to it, if it is good time spent together.
Make plans to do things and stick to them…treat every day you see your daughter as an adventure and find fun things to do.
I found that in this case, absence truly makes the heart grow fonder.
I had problems and did not see my kids for two years as access was denied and made impossible at the time.
However , I eventually managed to make contact again and enjoyed a great, Although not perfect, relationship with my two daughters.
In fact, I used to take them on holidays on my own and have been snowboarding and scuba diving with them as they grew up.
The arrangements are not the most important details, what is important is that your daughter knows you both love her.
My girls are now in their 20's and I still have a closeish relationship with them both, it has been a long rocky road, but well worth the effort.
Good Luck.

Mikey65Free MemberIf you have some spare cash go for the Fortius/ I-magic Virtual Reality trainer (£400) http://www.tacxvr.com/en/products/i-magic ……Great fun and good training….There are VR websites http://www.vrcyclist.com/ that you can download rides from and "race" other peoples times which makes it a bit more interesting than a normal Turbo.Real life videos add to the training/riding and these are not easy. I did the Mt. Ventoux ride one day in winter and after 3 hours riding and less than a mile from the summit of the climb, the bloomin chain snapped, and that was in the shed.
Mikey65Free Membercheck the screw that adjusts the angle of the mech against the hanger is adjusted properly (bigger gap between jockey wheels and cassette may help)and also chain tension is not too slack….it might help
Mikey65Free MemberHave used Conti Mountain Kings 2.2 there several times and always good….even in torrential rainy days……can drop the pressure down to give good handling as sidewalls are pretty thick….a bit heavier than normal tyres but worth it for the protection.
Mikey65Free MemberHave stayed at Cae Gwyn several times and it is good.
Camping, bunkhouse and B&B available…….
Also offered is free lift to local pub in the evening and a lift home from the pub…..Excellent for a good night out
Mikey65Free MemberTRUE STORY FROM PUB.
English and Scots guy talking about football.
Discussion raged on with usual banter and then Jock guy started talking about how they kicked England's arse at Bannockburn.
English Guy: forget that, remember when Mcallister missed the penalty and then Gazza stuck the ball over Hendrie's head and scored a classic….what a celebration as well.
Scots guy: Occchhh , now your talkng history.
Mikey65Free MemberIt's a pit that all the Jocks living South of the border and their expat government in Brown, Darling and plethera of hangers on, also half of the BBC from Jockland don't want to live Anywhere But England
Mikey65Free Memberhave a whip round and hire a hitman……..quicker and easier than trying to stick to the rules and guaranted to solve the problem 😉
Mikey65Free MemberI spent a week in the lakes last year and had a fantastic time with varying rides round Skiddaw for natural riding and also Winlatter and Grizedale for that trail park feel and finishing off with the Borrowdale Bash, absolute classic, stacks of riding to be had and so much to go back for…..can't wait for revisit.
Mikey65Free MemberSpecialized Roval Traversee Tubeless wheels are fantastic, light and strong…..I have used these at the Lakes, Peaks and Wales and still running true….bit pricey but worth it.
Mikey65Free MemberItalian fish stew with Chorizo and Pasta……Yummy…..Onions,garlic with a couple of tins plum tomatoes thrown in with some tabasco and chilli flakes, chorizo and some herbs thrown in, reduced for 20 mins then chunks of fish and mussels added and simmered for 10 mins…served with fresh pasta…….Superb easy meal
Mikey65Free MemberThanks, now uploaded some photos to flickr but cannot see how to get them to display…..have read the help forum about url address etc. but flickr does not seem to have the "copy image location" option available….will it work with copy and paste with the pre/suffix?
I have managed to copy and paste links to photos but would like to display the actual images.

appreciate cats when not dependent on humans…..never seen one open a tin of whiskers yet 😆
PS my dog wants a word with you. 😉Mikey65Free MemberUsed the 2.1's at Mountain Mayhem last year in the gloop and they were great.. they are now on my winter singlespeed and they are great.
Mikey65Free MemberDon't see the point of having cats as pets unless you don't like your neighbours……Dogs are a good excuse to get off the sofa and get out in the fresh air to the local parks, woods etc. Had some great walks this year especially in the snow….never seen anyone walking a cat, just open the window or door and throw them out to cause a nuisance in the neighbourhood….Dumb dog owners !!! Don't think so…it takes more thought and care to own and look after a dog properly.
Mikey65Free MemberHis employer (if you got the cab company) might be interested to hear they have a dodgy driver.
Mikey65Free MemberI run 2.2 UST mountain kings and have been Lakes, Peak District And Coed-y Brenin with them and they have been fantastic at all times…..A bit sticky in the mud though but great for rocky terrain…..
Mikey65Free MemberEasist way I have found to follow a track is to send track to Etrex and then select it from the saved tracks menu with toggle button and ensure the checkbox for "show on map" is ticked by using toggle buttonagain. Then select the colour you want the track to be displayed in.
Exit the menu screen and when you toggle to the map screen the track will be shown in the colour you selected.
Your position will be shown on screen and will move along the track with your movements whichever way you go.
You can always save the route you have just done and then select it to be displayed and then just follow it back.
If a solid line is shown to your destination, turn off "navigate to" as it shows a direct line to your destination and not the route you require.
Hope this helps.
