2001 mk4 golf estate which I bought for £180. I’ve spent £500-600 to get through an mot tyres and a couple of other things on it. It has 176000 miles on it and I do 400 miles a week in it. The sills need doing and a service but it pays for itself in saved fuel and depreciation on my Vito! It’s brilliant! There you go, it’s going to blow up tomorrow!

The Carhartt double knee jobbies from somewhere like MI Supplies. They are a bit stretchy and have reasonably slim around the ankles.
They do one without double knees too.

Go for it, it will look great.
AS long as it is finished with an appropriate oil or varnish it will be hardwearing especially with a formica top.
I am assuming you mean birch ply when you say ply.
I have made a lot of furniture with it and oiled it with white osmo oil and it looks really good.

    Try DIY-Kitchens.com
Really good quality and they come fully assembled so you just plonk them where you want them and attach to the wall.
    Well priced too.

I have just filled the gaps in my pine floor and used Bona Gap Master in the light oak colour, there are different colours available. You use a caulking gun and wipe the excess off with a wet rag. I have used pva and sawdust before and isn’t anywhere near as good as the above, like you it fell out and also got hoovered out.

If you go to the roaches/Ludds Church you could park in Wincle and do a loop walk up to ludds church etc and come back to the ship pub in wincle.
Or have a walk up shuttlingslow near Macclesfield, park next to the reservoir next to the Leather Smithy.
Maybe too far from derby though!

Great! Thanks for the replies. Regarding the spacing, would the spacer need
to be next to the lock ring, inbetween the original cassette and new largest ring
    or next to the spokes?
    Cheers

Yes I think I will take it apart a bit more tomorrow and put a new cable on it.

It was just a day in Granada, the rest of the week was where they are based near pitres about 1.5 hrs drive away. Is kind of in the middle of nowhere so the other halves may not be happy!
The ciclo riding is amazing, with some uplifts
But if you do a bit of googling Im sure there will be some trail maps on the net.
Re the uplifts if you are based in granada, I cant help you there, you may have to pedal!

Have a look in Granada. I went there with Ciclo Montana and there is
riding from the city centre. There is a trail called the holy grail if I remember
correctly and lots of street riding down the steps from the very top o
the city. Some of the best riding I have done!

Actually thinking about it you should be able to get the same pitch all way round depending on the length of your ridge beam.

Im not a roofer and haven’t done this before but I am a scenic carpenter and have to mock things up like this now and again.
What I would do cut a ridge beam slightly oversize and put it into position on a temporary structure (maybe a bit of 3×1) in the position you want it then you can work out the angles from there and then cut the ridge beam to fit once the hips are attached then take the temporary structure out.
Or try drawing the two side elevations 1:1 on a piece of ply (you could just draw the end of the roof where the hips are).
But thinking about it Im not sure you would get the same pitch all the way around.
Maybe I’m not much help 🙂

    Agree with the above.
Also could be the IT band going from the outside of the knee to the hip/buttock.
This can get tight and cause problems.
Best to seek professional advice though.
And re the stretching, ride for 15 mins then stretch so your muscles warm up a bit.

    I haven’t organised a sportive but I have a friend who does.
He said that British Cycling were very helpful and its good to get the police and council on your side too.

Have a word with Ciclo Montana.
They do day rates I think.
I reckon thats the best way to do it.
You will just end up looking at maps and wasting time and being unsure of where you are!
It will be cold up the top but I think it depends on the weather conditions of that particular day/week.

I did a bit of riding around that area a few years ago.
Some good stuff as above, but is a bit xc ish, still fun though.
If you need somewhere to stay in Quillan my old business partner has a B & B right in the centre of town.

Just spoke to Debbie at Romic and they still service the shocks.
The service is cheap at $34 but the postage back is $56!
I asked about getting the service kits but she said I would have to speak to the owner of Romic.
    I hope this helps.

Try Exploria, Yorkshire based, Huddersfield if I remember correctly.
I bought a T5 panel van off them and they put the side windows in and a bench seat in the rear.
    Good service, and good work.
I saw some of their work in progress, it all looked well done.

They must have changed it as mine fits my wheels. Strange eh! 😕

The rear lock ring is tightened with the same tool the rear cassette is tightened with if I remember correctly.

I think you can get a printed one from the rangers hut at one of the car parks near trentabank reservoir.

Combined with an OS map of the forest you shouldnt go far wrong.

There is an MBR map too, have a look in their archive online.
