yes the walls need recovering. Its 16 years old and has started to get quite dusty. Its also getting a new bed and maybe an upstairs too.

Our t4 has been very good. Simple to own and mostly safe to drive, not that quick but easier to live with. It’s having a roof this year if he behaves. I like the T2 and Split screens, but I’m happier to watch others own them.

You can get more choice for the be t4 and 5/6 than any other van. Your options for other manufacturers are limited.

We hired a French car and drove to France. Only, on changeover days we were held up by the money grabbing swiss authorities who target cars using Swiss roads back to Geneva airport. It’s quite a hiss from the headset (never typed those words before) Bother bottle cages I think are in use. More of a waterproof frame design than we thought.

The only advice I can offer is on dab antennas. We have dab in our t4 and after trying several types I had to drill a hole in the roof which appears to have fixed any signal issues.
I have a dab vag radio in my skoda fabia. It works but isn’t fully connected the the vehicle’s system. It turns itself off after an hour and the gala audio levelling system didn’t work. But I’m happy with the upgrade.
