I can boot from the new os on a second hdd but the repair failed when I booted from the cd. I’d like to fix it. Then move it to another faster disc. It has 6 on board but I’ve disconnected all other drives while this problems around.
I’d like to copy a working version. Rather than reproduce it from a completely new install.

Mrs Simmo here: I have a Rab Strata hoodie and previously had a north face redpoint jacket. The north face is definitely warmer and I was worried the Rab wouldn’t be warm enough (it’s fine actually) but the redpoint’s lack of hood was impractical for walking to work as I still needed a waterproof as well. I find the Rab jacket about right for walking in (I’m a fast walker so heat up quick and cover 3-5 miles/day), it’s water resistant enough for me not to have to take a waterproof as well on all but the wettest days. I’d use it for proper walking too as it’s very light and you could layer up well to add warmth.

That’s what I’m guessing. People dong want them once they’re off a wheel. Ill simply stick to j pull. Hard enough getting spokes without adding in straight pull spokes.

Erm. Closes must be overlooking the city out on Bolton road.
The ital is the closest I can think of. But it’s not a walk.

IMO they work as well don’t they? they’ll both wear out eventually and rocks will make both of them break. go cheaper.

I’m guessing the flash was the fuel in the right hand tank catching. Lucky they had chutes on the pilot as he’s not landing it after that. What incredible footage. What did we do before the go pro?

i had one cough up all its damping oil on a ride. covered the bike. \loco sorted it as it was the one with the custom fitment to the yolk on my stumpjumper. otherwise i’d have swapped it for a standard one myself.

I’ve managed to download the kindle version and found a way of sending it to the kindle. Have previously un- and reinstalled adobe but I can try that again. Thanks for your suggestions 🙂

Done the same. Found nothing but a bracket when I got home. Still it’d better than the commuter I saw with the rear seat post light hidden behind a mudguard!

I was waved passed one in the peak yesterday. Kind I thought helpful I thought. Only he’d waved me past into the path of oncoming traffic. Idiot.

I’ve had several nas drives from buffalo and net gear and others and to be honest they’ve all been frustrating or downright crap. Most needed software on the machine to access them. The buffalo suffered some kind of damage to its software side and refused to let me access it. The one I have now appears and disappears at random.
I know the time machine box is expensive- but after these I’ll save up and buy one.

We’ll I really hope it was as good as the weather looked. I got stuck behind an old sod in a rover 45 and then got caught at the road closures so I arrived at the car park at 10:20! Totally frustrated after 2.5hours in the car. I remember why the peak is such an arse now. Do enjoy guys.

I liked the 3d effect after the reverse and pause. I’d be interested to know how he broke the frames down but it would melt my brain I just know it.

    From mrsmikey-simmo:

    500g oats
    300g butter
    4 serving spoons golden syrup
    340g Demerara sugar
    1/2 tin condensed milk

Melt butter in pan, add sugar and heat gently until sugar mostly dissolved but take care not to let it boil. Add golden syrup and condensed milk and stir well to mix then add oats. Don’t add so many oats that it becomes dry. Line large tin with baking paper and put mixture in to a depth of ~2-3 cm. bake at 180 deg C for about 15-20 mins until slightly brown around the edges. Don’t over bake or they will be too hard. The other thing you can do is to slice up some cooking apples thinly and microwave with a generous sprinkle of cinnamon then put half flapjack in tin, lay apple slices on top then cover with rest of flapjack mix.

This recipe makes a lot and they are seriously calorific but cut into small squares and pop in freezer then take one out as and when so that you don’t scoff the lot in one go. Use bits of grease proof paper to separate layers of flapjack pieces in the tub so they come out individually rather than one lump!

That would be nice, only I doubt the rep from the tourist board will have that in mind.
Don’t need anything so unless I see an absolute bargain my wallet will remain in my pocket.

Fair point. perhaps a little left field and for some erm, pointless. if I could match the frame I fear I’m drifting into the realm of those green annodised bolt sets.

I used triple s for my wife’s road frame. Finish was ok. Best I can say. Chips in the original paint are still visible under the powder which is thin in places. The price was dramatically different on collection from those quoted
Ill be looking elsewhere next time.
    Just my thoughts.

Been offered the same deal but I don’t really need the TV stuff and wish they’d just provide a optical Fibre broadband with none of the telly bollocks.
That and the wish not to fund the Aussie Scrotum-faced-one any more.
Anyone know of a broadband via cable without the telly stuff?
