    I don’t know, if he’s doing it on a 27.5er, most probably.

mind it would make the tarmac come alive.

Picked up a mountain warehouse jacket for £50 in a sale before Christmas.

It’s been excellent and my go to jacket (when dry) for dog walking, work, hanging around outside shops etc.
I don’t really feed the cold too much, so anything more insulated would be overkill for me.

I sometimes throw in a quick spin round on my way in to work.
Sets the day up a treat. 😀

Power station next door’s being demolished at the moment.
The (non contracted) scrappers are round it like flys on sh*t, trying to work out how to get in.

One of our resident contractors has eleven (yes eleven!) kids.
I asked him how he and his wife coped. His somewhat sanguine reply was “you just get used to not getting a lot of sleep”.
This is the man who decided the easiest way to make enough room for everyone was to buy the neighbors out and knock through.

Cost the boss a fortune in Big Macs during the middle of the night. Twenty appliances, police, ambulance etc and no burger van. Milton roundabout Maccy D’s must have thought Christmas came early.

Anyone tried the Giro Privateer or Terraduro HV.
Very wide feet and a high instep here.

I can see the reasoning behind changing the format to a more sponsor/media friendly format.
I just preferred it when you waved them goodbye and waited for the morse code message from the South Atlantic

I think it’s lost some of it’s original attraction for me since it’s become more of a series of short sprints from sponsor port to sponsor port.
This is all relative obviously, and it’s still a tuff test of boat and crew.
I liked the idea of the longer legs with minmal stoppages.

    Anyone been to see this?
    Reviews, thoughts etc.
It’s showing in Henley on Monday evening and I thought I might mooch along.

    They’re off there this weekend.

What really made me laugh was the comment
“oh I doubt we’ll drink that much”.
    My reply
    “ha!!”

I’m sure your aware of this, but the thieving scrotes of Didcot travel far and wide in pursuit of swag. Didcot is surrounded by villages full of wealthy commuters. I know this because the aforementioned commuters are always trying to run me off the road in their rush to get to the station first thing in the morning.
Mind, with all the new housing going up, the scrotes wont have so far to travel.

+1 Park Street & Triangle. Corn Street is horrific.

When we went to the Italian car/bike festival I thought Corn Street looked okay.
Maybe it was all that Italian loveliness that distracted me.

Got old Dura ace 10spd shifter, and Xt 9spd rear mech on my Gryphon. It took a good deal of fiddling to get it shifting cleanly. 1/8th of a turn on the cable barrel adjuster seems to make a huge difference. It’s not perfect but works ok with a bit of care when shifting.

First incarnation. Now with 1×10 drive train.
When i first had it I had shoulder problems that prevented me using drops and requiring an upright position that the short top tube helped.
Now the shoulders sorted I’m going to be changing it round in the next few weeks to drops and Hope Vee twin brakes.

I use my 1 x 10 Gryphon for commuting with a set of Conti CX sport tyres on and On One Carnegie bars. Then just swap out tyres and bars (flats) for moutain biking duties.
I’ve even done a couple of road sportives with it and not come last :-).
I’m planning on converting to drop bars soon, once I’ve got all the bits together.

Down now. Various videos posted around the net already.
Watched it from a corn field in Harwell with a couple of hundred other folk. Mrs Morini was quite upset. Always been part of her life growing up nearby.

As others have said, get power of attorney sorted. A mate didn’t when his mum was first diagnosed with dementia, and things have got very difficult.
My dads in a care home and mum still at home. She’s fit as a butchers dog luckily, but needs support emotionally as there is tremendous guilt on her part.
I live locally which helps, but just phoning regularly and talking has really helped her cope.
Even if you’re the other side of the world, regular contact really makes a difference.

I use my Gryphon for everything including an eleven mile commute three days a week. I just bought a second set of wheels instead of a whole new bike. New set (Arches) have the mtb tyres on, old ones (Crests) currently sport a set of Conti Speed CX tyres. I appreciate it’s heavier than a road bike, but it’s not far enough to notice.
