Just because there are no women doesn’t make it sexist and chauvinist. If Rachel Atherton raced against the men at the world champs she would have come in 73rd place.

Also other than Her and Myriam Nicole I doubt any of the other women have got it in them to ride the Hardline.

My brother is a domestic appliance engineer. We bought a Miele on his advice and it is still going strong 15 years later.

You may also require a caliper mount for the rear depending on wether your frame is post mount or IS

The shifter will come with an inner cable only. The brakes will come with brake lines. You will need a post mount adapter if you want a rotor bigger than 160mm.. Shimano BB is not compatible with Sram cranks as Sram are taped. Cable cutters will be ideal for brake lines and if you do it properly then yes a track pump will work.

If you are just starting MTB then I doubt you will notice the difference between the two, but it is worth noting that Fox forks require much more regular servicing to maintain thier performance.

Creaking suggests movement so I would think it’s more than likely the interface between the seatpost and rails rather than the saddle.

I have two Fabric Scoops and one Charge Scoop and none of them creak.

“Really?  What is wrong.  You damage someone elses property its your responsibility.  thats the law.”

Not in this case as the law is different for leasehold properties. Technically the leaseholder does not own their flat but have a long term lease on it. The freeholder owns the building and it is the responsibility of the freeholder to have a suitable buildings insurance in place.

So it is the freeholders place to claim on behalf of both leaseholders and unless it has been caused by deliberate negligence neither is liable.

There are a lot of opinions here that go from wrong to outright judgemental. I have explained it once and so has andy l. So I will put it simply.

The leak is from one flat to another.

Leaks and the damage they cause are covered by building insurance and not contents insurance .

There will be one building insurance in place to cover the whole building.  This will be administered by the freeholder or the agent acting on behalf of the freeholder. So You and your neighbour need contact the freeholder or agent and inform them that you want to claim and the building insurance should take care of both fllats. The <span style=”font-size: 0.8rem;”>he agent may try to fob you off but this is the law and citizens advice will more than happy to advised you if that is the case. </span>

If you clean your rims and then apply it tight and firm then one layer of Gorilla tape should be enough.

It has been said already but there should be no problem with liability. Leaks are covered by building insurance. As it is a block of flats it will be a shared policy. So it should be reported to whoever is responsible for the management of the building usually the freeholder. Then the insurance should take care of it. The insurance may decide someone is at fault and ask them to pay the excess. Building insurance is compulsory

If you work for the Health service, Fire service, Police and other public sectors it is to be expected. Asking for reasons why not is so you can be discounted in the case of having to call someone in.

The thing is with emails that cc in all is to not take them so personally. Just answer it with the facts and forget about it.

I really enjoy watching the real crafts people at work, but I can’t take Jay seriously In his brand new hipster leather apron and ay up flat cap.

but the sentimental drivel overload does grate on the nerves after a while.

I much prefer Salvage Hunters The Restorers on Quest.

I bought New boots and panties when it came out. My dad banned it from the house and made me take it back. So I stashed it round my mates and listened to a taped copy. What memories .

Hitachi are very good value for money and for DIY use would last a life time. For Hammer drilling try to get something with batteries that have a high amp hour like 3 or more. Batteries that have a low AH like 1-1.5 are quick to drain when worked hard. This probably wouldn’t be a problem if you just want to put up shelves and the like.

I have used Rick at Slick And Slide for a while now. He has serviced and repaired both forks, shocks and dropper posts off of both of our bikes. I have to say I have nothing but praise for him. The turn around time is excellent and Rick is really helpful and has a wealth of knowledge. I couldn’t recomend him enough.

I personally find the VPD 2 are superb for pedaling in. But my wife didn’t like them. She said they moved and rubbed behind the knee . She know has the VPD System and loves them .

I have the POC joint VPD 2. They are very comfortable and stay in place. They are a tad short at the top though and I find that on dry and dusty trails grit gets in the top front. Also last time I had an off I got a quite bad cut right above the knee but inside the pad. I still use them as they are the most comfortable pads I have had and they did protect my knee cap . If you want a pair that come a bit higher up the leg then I would recomend Fox Launch Pro another great set of pads.

“Neither my T5 nor my Caddy needed that, used Aviva for both, and my NCB was fine as well.”

It will still be van ( commercial vehicle ) insurance and as I said your insurer may take your NCB into consideration.

    “Worng!”

In what way? I have only been insuring vans for over Thirty years. Also I can spell.

If you get a panel van you will have to get commercial insurance and your current no claims discount will not count. If you have a high no claims a commercial insurer may take it in to consideration and give you a small discount . If it isn’t for work I would consider a window van that is classed as a car.

Tony Doyle is very expensive and if you want to dial in basic single track skills I would say he wouldn’t be value for money. I have had coaching from Tony I found the days lesson to be very short. From the time you get there to having lunch and finishing time equated to less than four hours for over £200.

, but we have porcelain tiles.
it takes forever to heat up, but I suspect that’s the tiles more than anything.

Porcelain is a very poor conductor.

    Anywhere near Nottingham?

No I am in Essex. A decent flooring shop should be able to sort you out. See if you can get any feedback about your locals try the independents first.

Does the room heat up quickly with the vinyl floor finish? Presumably quicker than dense tiles?

The best is normal ceramic tiles as they warm up quick and stay warm. With vinyl it warms up quick but has no heat retaining properties so you need to keep it running more.

Any form of pure electric resistance heating will be horrendous to run. That goes for underfloor or plinth although I suspect the plinth will be better and respond quicker

It is the other way round. The heat mats heat the room evenly and are generally much lower wattage than a fan heater whereas the plinth heater still uses outdated technology that blasts air over a hot element in one direction therefore taking longer to heat the room and never making the floor warm. Also electric plinth heaters are generally on or off and heat mat is usually temperature controlled by a thermostat.

the bollard will get hit eventually and become a maintenance problem.

    Hi
I install all of the afore mentioned systems. If you don’t have a radiator in the room already any wet option will be expensive as the flow and return will have to be bought in from another room. An electric plinth heater will warm the room but not the floor and will cost the same as your fan heater to run.
The popular option with our customers is to take the tiles up. and install electric heating mat over insulation board. Float that over with flexible self levelling latex and then lay a nice cushioned vinyl. Warm under feet, warm room and controllable via thermostat. Also there is usually no real difference in thickness compared to floor tiles. Plinths only need trimming down by 5mm or so.

Parrot is by far the best stand alone kit. They have been in the game from when bluetooth was available and many after market stereos use Parrot inside.

Very nice. I imagine he is going to love it. I swapped the crank and BB on a Scott Scale JNR for a second hand XT crank and a Deore BB (£10) It made a big difference.
