Try getting some advice from a feline behaviourist – it may be possible to solve some of the soiling issues.

Failing that, I find it very very hard to believe that the right re-homing organisation would not be able to find somewhere suitable for such a lovely cat.

Speaking from experience, when your OH declares that they are not speaking to you do NOT ask if you can have some sort of guarantee in writing. It will not be well received.

Saw someone run over a cat in a transit once, and the turd didn’t even stop. Sadly the cat had no id on it. I would have liked to have been able to find the owners, and tell them that at least someone had had the decency to stay with the poor thing as it died.

Both mine have ID tags and microchips.

Having said that, Cat no 1 got hit by a car once, and still jumped in through the kitchen window and demanded food. Didn’t bat an eyelid. We didn’t even know anything had happened until we took him to the vets next day as he had a small lump on his side that we thought was an abcess. Turned out to be 3 broken ribs and a displaced sternum. Somebody must have known that they had hit him though.

Been doing it for a few years now. Mr Mule Senior was unflatteringly gleeful when he pointed it out to me :evil:

I sincerely and utterly hope that nobody on here ever has to deal with the sexual abuse of a child and its aftermath, however I believe that possibly some posts would have phrased slightly differently if some of the posters had been in that situation. It is the worst kind of hell imaginable, and the effects on both the victim and the victim’s family last for years. The last thing that somebody who has suffered this kind of abuse needs is an odious piece if excrement like Shah implying that what happened to them was all their own fault.
