I’ve got an MG that you can have for a very reasonable price. It only needs a teensy bit of work doing on it……

NB – I wasn’t being facetious about the valium. It’s had a bad press, but when it’s really needed it is definitely worth having.

I generally take a bottle because if my friends are being kind enough to provide the food I don’t expect them to provide all the wine as well.
    Sometimes I take two

I’ve tried to watch Bladerunner about 8 times, and fallen asleep after the first twenty minutes on every occasion. Therefore I can’t say whether it’s any good or not, but it’s certainly never managed to grab my attention.

I like my job – but I hate some of the people that I have to work with. I strongly suspect that this would be the case wherever I worked though.

Reminds me of my Dad – a keen footballer – telling me the rules of post match etiquette when they still had the big old communal baths instead of showers.

    1. You do not drop your soap.

    1. In the unfortunate event of you dropping your soap, you DO NOT go looking for it….

Just a friendly warning. You WILL be sore tomorrow

    Hell yes!

I did an afternoon on a climbing wall with uni. It was fantastic fun and I loved every minute of it….. until I tried to lift my arms the next day

I had an old diesel Rover 400 which ran for years and did 140000 miles, including being ragged up and down a farm track twice a day, without needing anything other than one new battery (and the regular stuff – like tyres). Unfortunately it didn’t survive having most of the engine bay ripped out by a git in a Ford Focus (I wasn’t too happy either).

I now drive an MG. Consequently I am now on first name terms with pretty much everybody who works for the AA

    Pootle – a Birman

“Official” name – Rowena’s Marguerite Delight. Which we thought was a dreadful thing to do to a small cat.

She was quite possibly the most beautiful cat in the world. And almost certainly the last in the line when the brains were handed out… :D

Last interview I had was actually a seven hour “assessment session” four hours of various assessments, followed by an hour to prepare a presentation, followed by giving said presentation, followed by a formal interview.

I had swine flu. I don’t mean a bad cold, I mean real flu (confirmed by doctor 2 days later).

God it was awful. I was told that I hadn’t got job, but had come a close second, although they were kind enough to say that it had been obvious that I was “clearly very ill” – which I think meant “looked like s***”
