Any truck spares place ,truck and trailer ,fp and s ,but you may have to buy a roll ,if your not in any rush send me the dimensions and when I’m back on nights beginning of Feb I should be able to get you some but it will be navy blue , other than that if you see one of the mobile repair vans knocking about ( there is 100s out there now) stop the mechanic and ask him if he can sell you a length

If you use the curtain material you can use a heat gun and roller to make the basic shape ,so none of the seems will need sewing making it waterproof, don’t worry about it coming unstuck there’s a good few trailers going round with patches I put on 5+ years ago

Had the 13 l seat pack for my lad but he doesn’t have enough post out to use it so I’ve used it the last 6 weeks on my tow path commute had it fully packed ,there’s no sway doesn’t leak and the bag itself is fairly well made the buckle clips aren’t up to the standard as my ortilieb one or the alpkit kit I have but I paid £24 for it , if you want to try bike packing it’s well worth a punt along with the lomo one, don’t know about the bar bag I got a ortilieb one

Jekkyl is spot on with the directions but if you can’t find the turning or go past it just follow the fire road up it will bring you to a main road turn left on this road and stile cop is just on the left ( this is the longer way)

Can only comment on the longitude ,got one in October and my full suss hasn’t left the garage since ,use it for commuting all day rides and natural trails , it’s just a confidence inspiring bike not sure cause it’s steel or the chubby tyres but there’s very little buzz through the bike .

Rear mudhuggers works great on my 2.8s but the front without the extender is a bit of a waste of time ,I’m still covered head to toe in muck after every ride

Rode in from gentleshaw common on Monday and onto the monkey forgot how much great singletrack there is over the comon and around castle ring with the monkey and parts of the dog some more off piste it made a nice 50 mile loop

First commute back tomorrow after 12 days off ,just packed the bar bag ready for the 445 start in the morning , I’m pretty lucky really it’s 9 miles of tow path and 1/2 mile of road so pretty much traffic free ,also just took delivery of some new alpkit thicky bib tights and jersey for once I’ve got the perfect size for my rotund figure so hopefully they are nice and warm

Got a 15 l ortilieb handlebar pack on mine it’s got its own foam spacers and attaches directly to the bars ,no sign of any rubbing ,fits much tidier though with a set of Jones bars I borrowed to try , but there was too much sweep for me . Looking at those really strange ( and heavy) surly moloko bars similar to Jones but less sweep

Not put cookwear in them but do carry a 4 pint of milk in one and 2 l of water in the other on my first commute in ( 10 mile up a tow path) and they have never bounced out or broken , think they just feel a bit flimsy when tightened I’ve had no problems

Forgot to add fitted some mudhuggers to it as those tyres throw up a lot of mud

Had mine nearly a month now and the full suss hasn’t left the garage ,been using it to commute along non paved tow paths , off piste over Cannock and over some natural routes in Malvern ,I was a bit dubious about being rigid but it is really comfortable , as long as the single track is flowy ,rooty or slightly rocky it’s a perfect bike , haven’t had the balls to try it on any drops over 6 inch ( don’t think my old body would take it ) but the bike itself inspires quite a bit of confidence , just got to try it fully loaded after Christmas and try and join in with the bivvy a month boys

20 miles off piste over Cannock ,even though car park was full and kids everywhere once out of birches valley only saw a handful of people ,weekend at home and Monday down to Malvern

euro 6 will give no more problems than any other diesel , the scr system only injects adblue when the engine is running at hot temps otherwise it would just dribble out of the exhaust , we have had adblue on trucks since euro 5 and the pumps have improved drastically , the only issue is it needs a oil change a bit more regular as the engine is running at a lot higher tempretures so there is a big carbon build up in the oil , there is no need to spend £5000 on a new dpf anymore as there are plenty of places what will bake your old one returning it to new condition

If your unsure that the dash ECU has gone take it out and send it to ECU testing think they are in Nottingham ,they will test it for a small charge and either send it back or repair it for less than a 1/4 of the cost of a new one , just be careful with fault codes though they only lead you to somewhere near the problem , I had one the weekend code said a gear box sensor was faulty but it was a snapped selector shaft in the box , they are only there to give you a idea ,then it’s upto the mechanic to use his knowledge to get the correct fault

It’s not to bad a drive tbh prawny as long as you’ve got enough time for a couple of laps it’s only about a mile longer than the dog but your legs feel like you’ve done the dog and monkey ,

Cannock is my local too , 1/2hr by car or 1-1 1/2 cycle up the canal and onto the monkey , I like that money does get spent on updating and improving the trails and that I can spend all day off piste and only see 1 or 2 people , but smiles for miles I take the 1 1/2hrs drive to hopton it may be short, but you get all kinds of surfaces and tech in that short loop , no café no toilets and very few people no matter when ive ridden it

I thought the same if I didn’t have climbing but after my accident every time I went to the crag my wife would be a bag of nerves waiting for the phone call again that I’d took another bad fall , so no climbing led me to MTB ,if I couldn’t cycle then I think I’d go back to paddling ,(not enough time and money to do both)

Rushy ihad the same problem with rugby when my young fella was 6/7 wouldn’t listen and just used to sit down in the middle of the field picking daisies , as he got older we tried lots of different sports ,he loves climbing but I had a very bad lead fall so can’t do it with him now but he still goes down to the indoor wall , so now he knows his own mind hell cycle when he wants to climb when he wants to , the only thing he has to do is his jujitsu ,only time he misses that is when he has a shed load of homework

definatly not this dad , was out with gnusmas and the rest the weekend past with my 12yr old , he really dosent like up hills ,so even though every one else was only bumbling up to the top me and the took it even easier little cycle little pushing , it may have taken a extra hour to get to the top and me pushing both bikes up at points but when you stop on the downs look back and see the ear to ear grin its well worth spending the time pushing up and having a laugh and joke with him , we see kids his age and younger riding past us whilst he is having a rest or pushing up but all kids are different , I know from experience with mine that its a very fine line between encouragement and him getting a touch angry , if your out with the kids its exactly that your spending time with them so go at their pace , also cake and fizzy drinks at the end work a treat (we do look a bit strange though both on the same bikes , it was a case of I want one the same as dads )

Not a problem ,if you use the medium route as a base you can spend weeks finding some mint singletrack off it , after this week’s weather it might be a bit boggy up round the German cemetery but the rest is rideable or take my last route off Strava think it was back in may (Garmin refusing to sync since then ) Stuart Dean on strava

Wouldn’t bother with the MBR route , it’s basically alot of fire road on the blue trail with the dog ,monkey and stile cop thrown in , have a look on just go ride there’s a couple of old Evans routes which you can use as a base ,still bits of fire road but no where near as much as the MBR one

Picked it up this morning , I think the sizes are bang on ,if I’d have dropped to a large it would have been a more athletic fit and my body is definitely not athletic , arms are a bit long as stated above
