    2018 Ford Ranger (Us Site)

That’s such a shame. The F150 looks very roomy, pages 18 and 19 in the brochure.

Which of your four paying guests get’s the pleasure of being squeezed in the center seat of the pickup, at least in a van the seats are closer to full size.

I think that’s a bit of a sweeping vague statement? Lots of different sized pickups, and vans. As I said above, the F150 was huge inside. If I could get something similar to that over here, I think that would be ideal. But still considering all options, I’ll go with what makes the most sense in the end. Be it truck, van, arctic truck, monster truck, whatever.

The last pickup truck I was in and drove was a Ford F150 4×4 out in in Canada. It looked and felt very roomy, in the front and seat and in the back row. Although I imagine the Ranger is about half the size of the F150… two thirds of the size at best. Hadn’t really thought of importing but it’s probably a nightmare? Reasonable room in the back row of seats whatever the vehicle is definitely important. Doesn’t have to be luxury but don’t want peoples knees in their face either.

I’d be keen to hear other names and makes and models! Trying to avoid having tunnel vision. Although I am trying to avoid having a trailer if possible, mainly because of the larger turning circle needed, and the faf of reversing etc. Cheers.

It will be used for mostly business use , for guided bike tours. Will rarely if ever be parked with bike’s in it for very long. I’m open to ideas though, just doing the research at the moment.

I should probably also mention that I only weigh between 65 and 68 kg usually, if that makes a difference to what rim depth you should choose.

Thanks. I had actually forgotten about HED. Not sure my bike shop can get them in, I’ll investigate though.

Thanks for the Whois link, Matt! Although doesn’t fully help as says all the details for that website are in Columbus Ohio, and the helmet got shipped from China with a Chinese address and telephone number also. I was thinking of ringing the chinese number on the box but not sure that would take me very far unless I wanted prawn crackers.

I have a new card since, cheers.

I don’t know why they bothered sending anything though? The helmet they sent is as good as nothing really. Why did they send anything lol.

It is the first time I’ve been caught out by anything spam or scam related. Usually I’m the one warning others about it. Must not have been in the right frame of mind at the time!

Yeah – sent them a message about returning it but not holding out much hope really .

I can’t remember if I used a card or Paypal. I’d have to check.

I would never intentionally buy a fake or inferior product when it comes to safety. I just thought it looked like a good deal. I’m down 330 euros either way 🙁 .

So what kind of lense do I need to be looking at for landscape photography? I’m sure its been mentioned once, but just to clarify. 15mm to 50mm?

I just want to be able to capture the depth and detail of what I can see, especially with sunrise and sunset over the mountains.

    Thanks 🙂

That RX100 looks like a point and shoot camera though? Can it do everything a 2nd hand DSLR can for the same price?

So far I’m thinking I should maybe stick with Canon and Nikon, going by what people are saying above.

    Sony and Fujifilm ok too?

Not really bothered about video at this stage. Cheers

I mean I’m prepared to put the effort in to learn my way around whatever one I end up with, and I like the idea of being able to use a proper camera, but I’m not much of a tech geek so it won’t come naturally.

So try get the newest 2nd hand camera I can see? Rough budget is 200 – 300, don’t want to be going bananas. It’s my first ‘shot’ at it. 😉

So what about the Canon and Nikon ones I’ve listed above, too old or behind the times? I really don’t have much knowledge in this area. Thanks

Some time back had I an ambulance sitting way too close behind with full lights, siren, etc. whilst I was driving down a 1-way street with cars parked on both sides and nowhere for me to pull over – quite what the driver thought I could do to help his progress I have no idea.

We are taught to turn the sirens off in situations like that, so it was just that driver being ignorant.

    Thanks.
I really like the feel of both in the shop, but I have a feeling any discomfort with either will only become apparent after a good few runs. An expensive mistake I made before with Asics Kayanos. Bought them and found them way too stiff for me after a few runs.

I’ve read the Brooks are better if you’re a heavy heal striker, but the NB possibly have more cushioning if you include the full fore and aft of the shoe.

Interesting about the stitching issue, not something I’d noticed trying on, but did see a review mentioning that.

I have quite narrow feet too.

Not great news on selling the new bar and stem for 1.40!!! 😳 . Many others had to part with things for way less than they wanted?

The riskiest but most lucrative is 99p starting price and run the seven day roller-coaster

Don’t think I have the bottle for that! Lol!!!

No expert on the item in question but I think your 600 Euros might be optimistic

I paid over 1100 euros for it new at the end of January, only been used for just over six months. So I highly doubt that 600 euros is being ‘optimistic’.

But if you want to get six hundred for it, then why have you got it on as an auction, where it could go for four hundred (if no one else bids).

Hoping people will get carried away and start out bidding each other. Am I being too optimistic ❓ . Currently on 422 with 33 people watching. But is there any formula or equation to show how many of the watchers will actually place a bid?! 😉

Unless you’re in a hurry to sell why have a BIN price? just let the auction run.

My thinking was that the BIN price would tempt people in to buying it if they don’t want to wait? But I can see how it might backfire. Not sure….

Get rid of the auction bit, just do buy it now or best offer. Someone’ll buy it (eventually).

Are you speaking as a veteran eBayer there? 😀

This thread is useless without you all having pictures of yourselves posted too, and stating your sex and age 😆 😆 .

I have used them all and have had luck on them all. There are always going to be weirdos around no matter where and how you meet people, online or offline.

It’s gotta be Black Masks and Gasoline or Paper Wings

Thanks but nope. It’s the same kinda pace and tempo as Paper Wings though, that kind of style.

Close but no cigar 😉 .

Actually no, I spoke too soon. That’s from the Roam I believe, on the segment in Whistler. Not the song I’m thinking of.

Its from Synopsis and its a dusty DH course with huge long turns. One of the last segments of the film. The above is still a great song though!

    Anyone else?

Is your old Alp X the original GORE-TEX Paclite one.

Yes, its about a 7 year old Paclite. Not very packable in that it doesn’t fit in a jersey pocket, so I have to either wear it for the whole ride or not at all. Could be a bit more breathable too?!

I’ll only be using it for road really.

The ONE GORE-TEX Active which is made of the new ‘SHAKEDRY’ fabric is really fantastic

That’s the one I’m referring too. Personally, I’m leaning for towards the Oxygen, as the extra features on the ONE seem minimal for the price tag. A bottle of DWR is about a fiver. I have not yet handled or seen one yet. I presume part of the costs are to do with production being in relatively small numbers at the moment?

Cheers DiscJockey good to hear its packable! My current one certainly isn’t.

You might want to check out the other two threads this week.

Well some people are looking for windproof gloves, some people want waterproof, some people want lots of insulation, others want ones that will stay warm when wet but not necessarily waterproof. Bit of a grey area! I was just enquiring with regards to my own preferences.

I have BBB waterproof ones at the moment that are probably like Sealskinz, but they don’t have enough insulation for me.

benp1 mainly to stop getting lost, and to maybe load up an of piste walking route to follow. Something foolproof and user friendly would be good! A few votes for the Garmin 64, easy enough to use?

I’d just like to make it clear that I don’t think it’s safe or reliable for anyone to be relying on a smartphone app. I’m not a mountaineer but I’ve been strongly advised against using them for main navigational purposes, with regards to battery life and losing gps signal more easily and that you are **** if anything goes wrong with it.

So PLEASE and thanks no more app recommendations .

What you do or don’t do for your safety is up to you, but I wouldn’t personally be wanting to rely on one.

More device recommendations welcome though 🙂 .The brands I can get are Suunto Garmin and Satmap.

B.A.Nana That’s not bad advice but I’m pretty confident he’d use one if he had one, just too stubborn to admit he needs one or to buy one himself.

My mate walked down the wrong side of Helvelyn in bad viz leading me to call Patterdale Rescue, he had my gps in his bag with waypoint of car park in it – he never thought to look at it as he was certain he was going the right way !

Well they say ignorance is bliss…, or (can be bliss) 😛 .

OP the 3D animation of your walk you are speaking of you get by uploading to something like RideCC/Strava

Stravs flattens all my rides with the Garmin edge though? Is it different with walking devices.
