Email Gore Bike wear themselves, their customer service is cracking IMO, would be surprised if they didn’t help/

have you actually measured the post with a micrometer?

The guys I know well in my bike shop measured the new post which is now stuck in the frame, and said the new one was 27.25. The one that came out was 27.2, haven’t measured the diameter of the inside of the frame to be sure but it is a right pain anyway! I just hate bikes sometimes :( .

Aaaaaaand breath. Have you spoke to CRC?

Just did .. and posted a poor review.

Have they actually reamed the frame back to 27.2, or just tried to clean it out the oxidation?

    Cleaned it out I think.

If your old post was seized in your frame are you sure there’s not some sort of corrosion inside the seat tube that stopping the new post going in properly?

Yeah there was but pretty sure it was all taken out of there, I’m not the one that did the job but I know the guys in my lbs well and trust them, they said they took loads of gunk and rust out. Its not a huge difference in diameter but still makes a difference!

Some of us are slumming it in a tent.

Depends what you got. Do you have either a balance ball or a TRX?

Just look at the geometry and compare it to other 29er bikes or bikes you like that you’ve ridden.

I thought they wore out fast around the seat area on mine too, shoddy stitching around the chamois on the ones I had anyway (which are now in the bin).

The world will be treated to a view of my pins. Albeit under 3/4 shorts.

I’m hoping for this soon myself!

I don’t buy the MTFU approach, if you’ve got appropriate clothing, wear it.

    Yep, makes sense!

Do less thinking and more riding.

But I do most of my thinking while I’m riding…

Just as much as you can, I don’t think it’s wise to do intervals unless you already have a good base level of fitness, you’ll just run risk of injury etc.

You’ve had it for a few months and not looked at any of it yet? :?

I use trainingpeaks, works a charm for me.

Nice one good to hear, I’m mainly looking at the 29.2 so will have a front fork, 24 hour racing is my main focus but I already have a 29er FS I can use also. Any more users of their mtb’s I’d like to hear from!

So, what would the 29er to 26er ratio be in this thread? :-)

Mine was a total disaster today. I changed the wheels over but one of the wheels I put on had a really warped disc I didn’t notice until I got to the trail, no biggie. Then one of my shifters decides to pack it in as I’m riding away from the car park, so the whole ride today was done with just the 3 rings up front with the chain set in the middle on the back. And to top it off I pretty much had no front brake either!! Mess…

I would say they are a race orientated tyre, I’ve used them for racing and love them for that but they don’t seem durable enough for general trail riding as the side walls seem pretty pants.

So, they are very good at what they are meant for doing really.

Sounds bad as others have said, no point in being in a loveless relationship. He might have just got confused about things.

Doubt it would make a difference tbh. But why get XT ones anyway? Theres far better and fancier ones around like the Mt Zoom and KCNC ones!

I think those Eisbar hats with the bit of imitation hair on top are hideous! Totally euro ski bum look. I always thought it was Eistnor btw… :-) .
