They are convenient. .. less faff with getting so wrapped up with all the layers. And there is certain workouts that work better on them for sure.

A short ride on the road with full mtb night lights I wouldn’t say no to even at that time. But if it was dark AND windy and wet then I’d consider the turbo ? .

I would rather put on a gore tex jacket, warm tights and embrace the elements. I used to go on the turbo but try to avoid it now. It’s not good for you.

That’s what happens if you use them to lever the bike and rider from a prone position

    Explain? 😆

For MTB use are you wearing shorts over the top? or going all out roadie look?

Sometimes shorts on top, sometimes I just go for the full roadie look!

Anyone tried Gore ones? I like the neon yellow back on them.

Whats the benefit of bib tights versus standard lycra bottoms, they don’t seem to offer much upper body warmth?

The ones I’ve had go much higher on the back compared to bib shorts. So warmer than bottoms I imagine.

    Size Large, immaculate condition.

Cheers boyo but I’m a size S or M in most makes! So doubt L would work.

Two shouts for the Castelli ones though. Could be on to something there…

Nice tshirt I saw in magaluf read “A pint and a fight, a great British night”.

Another one I saw out there – “made in the UK, destroyed in Magaluf”.

The ones that say – “if found please return to the pub”.

I always thought Wiggle was by far the better website. The CRC site seems to have got really slow and annoying.

The XC/road Jerseys would be a good fit for anyone that has a pot belly and stick insect arms 🙂 .

I think they look good and I like the fact they only make a limited number of each jersey, BUT….. be warned, I found the xc jerseys to be a VERY odd fit. The arms were just ridiculously tight on me. Tried two sizes, the M was OK on the arms but baggy on my body, the S was OK on my body but felt like the circulation was being cut off around my upper arms. I don’t have big arms by any means either. Can’t comment on the shorts as never tried them on.

Can anyone in the Eccelston area of Lancashire confirm reports of a very loud Nelson Muntz-style “HA HA” echoing around the hills?

    Non-Shimano clipless? How retro.

Used to use Shim pedals back in the day, wasn’t a big fan of the total locked in feeling with not much float.

Cavendish gutted but philosophical. Said got text from double amputee friend offering a spare arm, puts it in perspective. Touching to hear.

I heard that. I think he comes across a lot better in interview than people give him credit for.

Part of the reason I’m sure is that on MTB rides I feel like I’m always either holding a group of fast guys up, or I get bored waiting for really slow people.

Go out on your own then??

Lucky I had some zip ties really.

    Zip ties fix everything!!!

How do cracks even form in the freehub though? Didn’t think it would be exerted to enough force.

Or you could just check out your bike yourself regularly..

    tapping/ knocking noise

Mine could almost be described as that too, but more of a creak mostly.

    Cheers.

whats his goals and gym routine? weight training for bodybuilding, or cardio for weight loss?

Seems to be mostly cardio with a bit of weights thrown in, for weight loss.

They seem to be designed for pot bellied riders with Ethiopian arms.

    😆 😆 🙂

That makes me feel a bit better!!! You tried on one yourself?

but the arm grippers pretty tight?

Yep I found that. Way tighter than Castelli/Gore/Endura/PI jerseys anyway!

Good to know its not just me then! In hindsight the medium was a better fit than the small for me but I wasn’t happy enough with it for the price of them.
