Her lawyers must have had an idea that it might work or they wouldn’t have pursued it.

Just because a lawyer think he can grab you some money doesn’t make it right.

I don’t think the Dad should personally have to pay it, but if his insurance rolled over and paid her, regardless of who was to blame, then the world would be a better place

A better place for who? Her or the other thousands of the insurers customers that have to pay an increased premium because of her actions

toys19 if someone came into your house drunk and decided to slide down your banister ending up with them breaking their leg. Do you think it’d be right for them to sue you?

Perhaps you can think of a better comparable example, as this isn’t exactly tragic like being paralysed is it.

The fact that she is paralysed is terrible. But the point of fault/blame is the same regardless of the severity of the consequences

What did the home owner do wrong, that they should be compensating her for? How is it their fault that an adult saw a swimming pool, assumed it was deep enough to dive in to and then hurt herself?

Should local councils be sued when people go ‘tomb stoning’ and injure themselves in a similar way?

Can I sue the Hurtwood Estate next time I wash out on a wet tree root, for not putting the trails out of bounds after the rain?

Don’t get me wrong, I feel very sorry for her, but she made a bad decision. Not the home owner

SD-253, you seem to have a fairly large chip there.

At 37 I had my first one done. It’s a one-off piece, unless someone else copies it from a photo of my arm no-one else will have one similar. I chose a tattooist whose work I liked and commissioned it. A bit like commissioning a painting, but it’s on my skin. We worked together for several weeks on my ideas and images I liked, which the artist interpreted. it’s great, I love it. It means something to me.

I like looking at great paintings, photo’s and Tattoo’s. Maybe I just appreciate good art. The popularity of Tattooing means there are a lots of bad Tattoos and bad Tattooists. But there are also a great number of fantastic artists who’s medium happens to be skin.

Look past the rubbish out there and try to appreciate what can be done with ink and a needle.

I’ll have a set of Mono M4’s for sale soon. Post mount front caliper so you can use whatever rotor you like with the right adapter and a 160 rear caliper, I think I might have a +20 adapter for the rear too. I have 180 and 160 disc’s.

As the purchase of the bike is from CRC your statutory warranty is with them i.e 1 year. And they would have to chase the Russian dealer who’d have to chase the European dealer etc etc back to Yeti. Any addition warranty Yeti/Specialized/Trek/Turner offer is over and above your statutory rights and they can therefore refuse to offer it if their T’s&C’s aren’t met.

Specialized, Trek can and do refuse warranty on bikes that have been sold out of their dealer network on the basis that it has not be sold/checked by one of their dealer that have the ‘correct knowledge’ in building it/checking it over.

Also the 2nd had sales thing stands, as the bike has been sold (by the Russians to CRC) out of Yeti’s dealer network so CRC become the end user. It is therefore not a new product sale. Also SOGA stops at CRC as there is no way to enforce it outside of the European Union.

I’ve gone 27/40 – 11/32 and it’s been great round the Surrey Hills. Was worried that I might struggle on the trip to Wales 2 weeks ago but it was perfectly fine

    Hi

I’ve got a pair of 2011 World Cups, they are doing the same. The play seems to be bush play at max extension, possibly not enough overlap? As soon as you sag the fork at all or have them in the shorter travel position it’s not there.

How about a slightly new Citroen than the one above. C4 Grand Picasso. Avoid the 1.6hdi unless it has been perfectly dealer serviced though.

    Chiefgrooveguru, you speak the truth.

gwj72, have you actually got any eperience of a good modern diesel engine? Something like the Jaguar/Landrover/Peugeot/Citroen 3.0 ltr V6. In standard form gives 280 bhp & 400lbs/ft of torque and from the outside you’ll have trouble telling it from a petrol at idle.

The reason all these chips work is Manufactures have to produce vehicles that pass the European new vehicle (homologation) emission standards (currently EURO 5). These are a million times more draconian than the MOT test. Also manufacturers are taxed on the amount of CO2 their vehicles produce so they are ‘tuned’ to produce minimum CO2 and pass the EURO 5 emission regs.

Neither of the above give you the best power, torque or MPG. All these tuning companies are doing is recalibrating the mapping for power and/or mpg which are restricted by conforming to the EURO 5 new vehicle standards, they may also disable emissions equipment such as EGR.

    I work for a manufacturer.

    Hi

If I’m right the 2007 FSR has the split seatpost design, shock goes through it. I had an 06 that was the same and a mate has an 07 pro. We both found the shock bushes wore and the linkage is is bolted together and kept coming loose.

I am just about to sell a 2010 M5 Pro as I have just got a 2011 S-Works. I have found the new design more confidence inspiring with the slacker head angle. It also seems more supple than the older one, it is better climbing over square edge steps.

I’ve not ridden the verticle shock design so can’t comment on those.

    Hope that helps

Extra day off here, my contract is for x day plus BH’s.

Even if your contract stated x day’s including BH you are entitled to the day off, but it will come out of your holiday entitlement.

There’s good blood pressure rise, and there’s one casued by TJ!!!!!

    michaelbowden

First of all D because, for one reason or another TJ is one of the few people on any forum that I read that can cause real anger and a proper rise in my blood pressure. He seems completely incapable of accepting anyones opinion as valid let alone change his mind following reasoned argument.

Secondly C, I like looking at pretty girls as much as the next bloke but there are many other places to find them.

Your only way around this if the V5 is wrong is to get Audi UK to write to the DVLA confirming the correct CO2 rating for the car.
The DVLA will work with what’s on the V5 and only evidence from the Manufacturer will make them amend this.

TJ the pressure(force) goes in to expanding the hose. You are still considering that the expansion of the hose is finite. X pressure created at lever, y of that pressure expands hose thefore x-y at caliper.

    I went from 5.1 to the 5.5

The bigest differences I found was that the back end felt stiffer/tracked better. The extra travel made it feel much plusher too.
