    Petesgaff,

will be thinking of you tomorrow. As per Tails said, stay away from the internet!! My missus went into Hospital just over 2 weeks ago with suspected appendicitis. Next morning got a call from the hospital saying Docs and wife needed to see me asap. Got there to find Sue had the appendix removed, along with half her large bowel ( right hemicolectomy op) after docs had found a 2x 3 inch 'mass' and we would have to wait 2 weeks for the lab reports.

I then went googled everything I could about bowel cancer/right hemicolectomy and have been freaking myself out with all the horror stories/ worst case senarios. Sue's attitude on the other hand, was I'll wait for the results before I start to flap/ worry..

Yesterday morning , got the all clear from the docs, the relief was huge. ( understatement of the year there).

Fingers crossed for tomorrow for you and hoping for a good result.

Loula, try setting up a page on the 'justgiving' website. You could post that link on here and I for one would be quite happy to drop some cash your way.

just an allen key but make sure it's a good un. The shock bolts on the '08 models were made from soft cheese. The 09 model bolts seem a bit beefer.
When it comes to re fitting the shock, you might find you have to slacken off the main pivot bolts and the bolts holding the rocker to the frame to aid getting the shock back in.

I sometimes pretend to be a telecomms engineer. What was it you wanted to know about, VOIP, Aloha protocols, ATM?

I would have thought that classed you as a datacomms engr. DWDM on the other hand….

Just out of interest, any of you guys read ther private eye report on this in 2001 ( avaailable as a download, but will cost you a fiver).

the basic summary is that Megrahi was convicted on the evidence of 2 witnesses provided by the CIA, both given huge pay outs by CIA..

The 1st was a chap called Abdul Giaka, paid informer and notoroius liar.
2nd wa sa maltese shop keeper who id'ed him as the man who brought the clothes that were packed around the bomb, after having his photo provided by the CIA as a visual prompt.

More stuff but can't be arsed to type it out..

Reason the appeal was dropped so that edvinence not allowed in the first trail would have come out and made the biggest protesters, UK and US gov't look like total shiteheads..

appeal dropped, we'll let you go on compassionate grounds..

we've already shown how humanitarian we are with letting Ronny Biggs out a few weeks eariler..

I'm now off to wrap my head with tin foil to stop those nasty NSA types from reading my mind.

A group of the ‘clent duffers’ are up @ CYB this weekend for Votchy’s post 40th weekend piss up. I’ve last ridden at CYB about 5 years ago so can’t remember much /any of it. Who gives a ****, if it’s not as pedaly / swoopy/ gnarly/ jey as the other trails, it’s a week end away riding bikes and drinking beer. And eating lard.

Cheers for the nod towards the pont Scentin trail too. We’ll possibly give that a look see too.

IIRC, he did some music, fiddled with kids and paid a shit load of money out to said kids to deny the above fiddling. Also tried to change himself into a white woman.. But we must now have the usual media frenzy/ public outpouring of grief.

I’ve just read the remaining posts on here, do you thimk autism is more wide spread now or do you think the diagnosis has improved.

Matt had his diagnosis as he moved from infants to juniors. He now attends a special unit at a local school. He has also been accepted at a local secondary comprehensive with support staff/ unit.

I’d go with better diagnosis. I can think back to when I was at school 70- mid 80’s, about 3 or 4 kids who were classed as biffers by the teachers. Only now with hindsight I can say they were on the higher end of the ASD. We just had Jordan’s annual review this morning, and now looking to the move from primary to secondary. However due to the location we are looking at either from current primary to secondary, or current primary, to middle, to high.
All three schools have autistic bases, with appriorate staffing levels and TA support in the mainstream classrooms.
Again, going back 20 -30 years it seemed to be that all special needs children were all lumped together out of the way. Where as now, inclusion/ intergration is the main thing. ( providing it’s in the child’s best interest)

As per AndyRT and Smartray, my 10 year son is also aspergic. We had Jordan diagnosed very early on ( Special needs statement by the time he was 4).

Jordan is the most clumsy bugger you could even hope to meet, trips over fresh air, can’t catch a ball if his life depended on it, and his mind wonders off anthing unless it’s his core interests, which this year are the Titanic, and Indiana Jones movies/ games. But, **** me, put him on a bike and he loves it. ( apart from uphills) He rides really well.

As per the other guys, it just took him a bit longer to master. He had it cracked by he was 6 , his younger sister was stableizer free a good year earlier. Just give them a bit more time and you will be amazed.

LoulaBella, my mates at work, his daughter has MS, and rides in a three wheeler. Next time I’m in, I’ll grip him about where he got it from. ( but suspect it was via George Longstaff)
