I just serviced my 2nd hand rebas on tuesday, 4 years old and abused to **** and back.

Changed the oil expecting the worst, ie black solid gunk, very suprised at mildly brown free running oil..

Piece of pee to service too..

Ans as too how they do it, insert needle, draw blood into centifruge, separate the platelts out, re insert blood. Machine constantly draining your blood, but every now and then the deplateleted blood is returned, approx 6 min cycle.

Nah Mick – it's more a case of me having to take over the thighs of steel mantle
Pah, in your dreams matey! Seriously though, no problems with power links. Chains snapping ( esp Shimano ones)occasionally sram , but no probs with the links, apart from some being stubborn to undo, where the mighty 'T.O.S' pressure has cold formed the links into a solid mass. You out this week?
    Clent monday, wyre wednesday?

If you want the cheapest, have you tried using manfat? Takes a while to do each tyre, but you're never a loss on the trailif you need a top up..

Did it the last 5 years Houns, ( last year was it was hpyothermic!) but giving it a miss this year. £100 entry fee put me off a bit, that was with previous tough guy discount!!

20 miles each way for the normal scenic route or 18 miles on the direct 'shit I've over'slept run!
Normally do 12 hour shift work, so 2 days of cylcing in, car for the 1st night shift, then bike for the last night shift with 4 days off.

However this week I've been on perm 8 hour days , so cycled in all week, and I must admit to being a tadge kippered last night on the way home…

I've done a few of the challengerworld series events( in UK and Europe) with work paying the entry fees, as they're crippling high. About 5 K for a team of 4 for 3 days in europe…

As above, I have a chioce of 3 days in the office or 5 days out of said craphole (with travelling time ) having a laugh and seeing nice places. Durrrrr…

Just popped into the local diy store and brought a load of 6 x 5/8's screws. However have screwed a few in place and they're looking a tad on the thick side…Anyone else used 6 or should I be better going for 3.5's???

    Renton,

finish wise it's not argos etc , but the price reflects this. It's a nice sturdy paint job that hasn't chipped in the last 2 years of abuse.
If it was a IF, then it would be getting the Argos treatment, but it's an inbred. And 45 sheets brought a very tired and tatty frame a new lease of life. ( It rides better too, honest!!)

My inbred before the tigger stripes went on..

Is that bright enough for you? god knows what colour it was, I said make it look like a can of tango orange.

    1. ride more.
    2. win the lottery.
    3. try and not to punch a very annoying co worker in the face, (but he does have it coming) if fact make that not to punch 2 very annoying co workers.
    4. loose a stone in weight.
    5. take over the world.

I'm planning for a 10am start from the Duke William if anyone is interested.

    MicArms

Done it a few times in the late 90's early2000's and then did it last year.

What a difference… the old rides were tough and hard going conditions. Last's years effort was back lanes and farmers tracks. and about 2 mile of proper off road. Completely put me off ever doing it again.
