For a 29er option a nice Niner MCR, 853, very XC, could be very light with the right bits.

Mike Ferrentino- the best writing in the mag, from a technical POV and originality, it's the first bit I read.

Quality of paper/production values, spot on. this is really important Ride is better, but it's a 'journal.'

Some inspirational stuff- such as the Great Divide race, well written as well.

proof reading, even I notice errors.

It must be really hard keeping the new ideas flowing, but change and development is good, a static mag would become overly familiar and ultimately boring, I've subscribed since the start and still look forward to each one, and it's great to be surprised and delighted by an unexpectedly new approach, writer or feature.

Well sort of got off road on this. It's a 62cm frame (the ugly Seven not the Spesh)

I'm 6'4" and had a 20inch (biggest) 5 and it was too small, I need a 120mm stem and tons of seatpost, it was all wrong! NIce bike though.

I did have one of these (XL Niner Jet) until the Frame was recalled, a great bike until that point. I'm waiting for Niner to design, build and deliver the replacement- at some point in the Spring………ish

I find the stability, holding lines, wide bars shorter stem easily outweigh any perception that it's less agile in slow technical section. My abililty is still the limiting factor!!!!

I'd recommend one of these, for us taller gentlemen…

always slow down for horses, walkers can move, and old people should be at home knitting. What amazes me though is how a single elderly walker can take up an entire pathway and be completely oblivious to anyone else walking, running, or cycling; they wont move but have a good old moan when you try and politely squeeze past.

I was out riding sunday, moderate speed, and some old dude shouted "OI!! Slow down where my dog is" (his dog was, at that moment, curling out a tyre grenade), to which I replied "Your dog should be on a f###ing lead, and clean its sh1t up you dirty old b##ard".. he stopped and was cursing and was shaking his fist, wanting to fight me. I nearly fell off my bike laughing.[/i]

    That's a very sad post

That's not a clown bike, way too small :) Bars higher than saddle as well.

We have 5 month old twins. They started with 11pm and a 5:30am feed, then we dropped the 11pm one and they now sleep through. The are now in the same room but separate cots, we moved them when the kept waking each other up, now they mostly ignore each other-not sure how long this will carry on!!

One more thing they hate it when it's too warm, over about 21C -22C they don't sleep as well- just like me really. I'd also support everyone who said that routine around bed time is vital

Compared to a SC Blur I had last time. Some of that flex is in the wheels :)

    Just off for some pies…

Here's another option: I'm 6'4" with 36.5 cycling inseam and this is a Niner Jet XL with a 90mm stem. I'm only 75KG and I can feel some flex, but it's a great bike, bought before the pound crashed so decent value.
