I liked the portraits; a good start; needs to build on this. I still
don’t like e bikes! Keep going!

All this sort of depends how long your arms are and how wide your shoulders are: makes comparing bar width between riders not that useful without that.

Great day- amazed that people on here think it’s an ‘off-road ride’ and get indignant when it involves 50-70km of road depending. As others have said you spend less time on the road…

I think the clue to the envelope of touring holidays is ‘CTC’…….

since when did 140mm become short travel…..

HONC is great, not an mtb event though :)

It’s a bridleway (or boat) not a trail centre, so go slower. Looks like a good repair.

Strava related anxiety disorder- I’d sue the developers- or perhaps learn where the ‘virtual finish line is’ before chatting about how quick etc

Have a go at one, you will be fine-it’s all great fun. Ignore people being cynical here!

Strange event, I’ve done it at a leisurely pace and at race pace both were/are enjoyable- very few events that can be done at both levels and still be fun. At race pace (for me) it’s a killer, I think,it’s the first long climb. You need to be quick off the mark to get a place.

Errr I got lost around 135mm and quick releases…there’s not going to be much room for size 12’s and short chainstays…

How were they built…sorry pedantic I know.

    I get it, it’s perfectly proportioned-aesthetic, functional.

You are missing the point. With Seven you can choose if you want 0mm of spacer or 30mm of spacers or any measurement inbetween.

Very nice; seven really are worth the outlay. Boarding on good value compared to the price of some pretty generic carbon frames. The ride is sublime.

I hope I’m never riding my bike (remember those) on the road while some of you are trying to overtake 5 cars on the same stretch.

Hose down bike, clean, dry, lube; put in shed/garage. Clothes off outside; hose down them and you, put clothes in bag/basket. Step onto mat in house- preferably into utility room. Grab waiting towel; head to shower. Put clothes in washing machine; bed.

Be patient and give it 6 months of rides- you will be lighter, faster stronger-it just takes time. Don’t unduly pressure yourself. Some of the others have increased their speed/endurance lots this year by just riding. Lower heart rate peaks might just mean you are tired at the moment.

I’m on it but could we just turn it off please – it would be better for us all.

How about go slower now and develop some more skills, then speed up. Keep the bike I doubt very much that it’s the cause of your crashes. Learn to Ride within your skills and fitness level-you will crash very infrequently and become a better rider.

‘Dyfi Endro- that’s Enduro- anything else is new and fangled.
