If you like Brewdog Paradox then I suggest a little bottle of Tokyo* or something from the Abstrakt[/url] range.

    Just the one mind!

I’ve had Paradox Jura and Arran both of which are brilliant. If your lucky you might find the Christmas Paradox which was rum cask; not as good as LOST DOG but still an epic beer.

Beware the 12 x 135mm Hope unless it’s an EVO hub… they break regularly as there is not a lot of aluminium left.

From the picture that could be an old Manitou Sherman/Travis/Nixon fork?

You are correct – If you can get a second crown race for your headset swapping forks over is easy.

Depends on your headset how easy getting the second crown race is.

On-One geometry oddities… Between the 16″ and the 18″ there is only 5mm in top tube length… and a whacking 51mm in seat-tube.

IMHO… 16’s always look RAD TO THE POWER OF GNAR and 18’s always have mudguards and barends and computers and crap all over them 🙄

Have the forks been on another bike with a longer headtube and a Chris King headset which has scored the steerer tube right where it has now failed?

Anyone buying THAT is going to want a Go-Pro mount

TLD did some nice stuff and then the “design” just becamehas always been a garish logo slapped on any old generic gear.

That geometry for the 456 EVO does not show bottom bracket height or alex drop… which for me is important as I’ve had bikes with over high BB’s before and I not likey.

While we’re on the subject of ON-ONE and Planet-x geometry’s have you ever tried to compare two similar models? NONE of them are in the same format, all different places and all a miss match of metric and inches… conspiracy to bamboozle? Inneptitude? Historical?

I cut some slots in the side of my one of these…

    Works a treat.

And it’s easy to move outside for that al-fresco summer dining.

The reasons for not washing are to prevent cross contamination. The reasons for washing are to remove unwanted taints from the packaging.

Depends how the item is packaged for me.

    2p.

    Hmmm?

Old-skool looking Ti dropouts and chainstay bottom bracket, plus the 3 piece seatstays makes it look very old fashioned. Would it have looked better if it was built more like this?

I might be interested if On-One ever post a geometry which shows bottom bracket height or alxe drop for the EVO frames… especially if there are any cheap ones with squint ISCG/brake bosses 😉

When Lyriks first appeared there were quite a few comments on forums about creaking CSU’s that ended up requiring a warranty replacement… it’s one of the reasons I have a Fox 36.

From the vids and descriptions I’m thinking a well set up AM bike will be the best choice 😉

Unless something bad (or really good) happens between now and then I’ll be on my trusty Nicolai Helius AM*

Speak to Loco or TFT etc first. The wrong basic tune could be horrible. I really wish I had got mine done 6 months before I did, it made such a huge difference.

Pay the man the £35 now and get it set up for YOUR weight and style. The info you have given on here will be a good enough for Loco to set it up better than just buying off the shelf. There will be a difference as he will explain when you speak to him. Enjoy!

Ski patroller in the winter, bin man and wannabee bike racer in the summer. Later a bike shop monkey in the summers. Somehow managed to sail a tall ship across the atlantic and gain a BEng which was to be my safety net for when I couldn’t ski or bike any more.
Did a few seasons in UK and one in NZ, and then a bad Scottish season had me rethinking priorities so I joined the oil industry and started visiting bizzare parts of the world to stick metal down holes. Enjoyed the challenge and the travel… and the money which paid for ace toys and holidays. Swapped jobs a few times to broaden skills base before joining a super-major to get official training in sticking things down holes… so I could leave and set myself up as a “consultant sticking things down holes engineer”. Currently enjoy my family, my work and my play.

You don’t need to wear lycra to cycle to work, or a wear a hoody and trainers to stand out from the crowd in the office…

Unfortunataly you do just step into another crowd but that’s between you and your friends.

I found Rev’s a little “Flexy” but I am unusual. The Fox 36 Floats I replaced them with feel a lot stiffer and betterer… but there is a whole pound of weight difference!
