Asked the same question a few weeks ago. My lbs uses finish line wet, other places use Shimano mineral.

Best thing you can do is backup any files you need to keep, make sure you have copies of any apps and do a complete wipe and reinstall of osx.

Failing that there are tools such as Cleanmymac which will get rid of junk. Have you updated to Mavericks yet? Get more ram…visit the Crucial website to run a test to see what you can have in your machine.

Cool, cheers chaps. Just ordered that stupid preload cap tool to do just that.

Yes coil. Can’t afford to splash out on any air forks (or new coils for that matter) at the moment..but even then would his weight be enough to benefit from the suspension?

Will give it a go, not as if he’s going to be hammering down an alpine trail yet.

Whatever you run, keep the pressures down. Right at the lower end of where you would normally run em It will help any tyre shed snow and ice. Even probably the wrong sort of snow.

Yeah this could of been my problem thinking about it. Thanks.

Yeah maybe I had the wrong type of snow for high rollers 😛 Still got them so will try again this year (if we get any of course) thanks for the tips.

Won’t be racing down like these nutters..just yet.

Someone should remake it with upgraded graphic. The original one is good but newer version with 3D will be even better I guess

    Remake the first one???

    God forbid.

If I was you (which im obviously not) I would sacrifice the 1.3 kg ish weight saving of a carbon frame and go for a 27.5. Which you can then upgrade over time. Then when you come to sell the frame or bike your going to get more for it in a few years…plus in my experience they do give a nicer ride.

What other headset can I use for a straight 1 1/8 steerer that’s cheaper than this at 36? http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/nukeproof-warhead-44iiss-headset/rp-prod85844

Not looking for ‘race spec’ it’s only for my lad.

The industry thinks otherwise and marketing is a wonderful thing nowadays

..and people seem to have far too much spare cash these days to indulge them.

Think so…Im guessing they (and stores) are getting rid of the 26″ stock. Which is super for anyone who likes to just ride.

Ive just ordered one (in green) my lad will love it, looks great fun.

It just looks like a cheap naff alloy frame like we ride as kids that got pumped out of china cheap as chips which is what this is! Paint job is awful, its an alloy ht so will be horrid to ride, has everyone thought this through?

£100 for a lightweight frame that can handle a range of long travel forks? Can’t be all bad can it.. 5yr old GT frames are going for £50 on ebay still.

Makes sense (for me) to buy one for my lad to grow into.

new to building mtbs what probs would there be to fit a 1.1/8 with 145 drop fork on one of these.

Looking for similar answer…after dissing the frame this morning im thinking of getting one for my lad. His is a 130mm & 1 1/8 steerer. Think we would just need to find the right headset.

I think that exposing kids to films/computer games etc when too young is much more risky that giving them a knife.

Problem is, some parents allow kids to play games such as GTA ‘AND’ give their kids a knife.

If my lad and I lived in the woods..he would have a knife. I live in the city and it’s not needed. Neither is knowing how to stamp on someones head IMO.

Old superlight or blur would be ideal but as you say b r, I may have to swap for hardtail.

Had a go on a trance 27.5 today, was very nice. Not massively different to my 26″ but did notice an improvement in smoothness.

Before moving to spds I was on Nukeproof Neutrons which where super grippy. Tried superstar before and couldn’t tell any difference to a unbranded pedal before that.

A good pair of thermal socks or two and a plastic bag works well.

Im not saying there isn’t blind spots but if you look at hkw the cab is tilted in the video you’ll then realise why the camera can’t see ANYTHING to the left of him. Another truck could potentially be in the same space as those cyclists which obviously wiuld be a massive basic design flaw of all lorries.
