Surprisingly my company (scaffold firm) have been amazing. Everyone was told a couple of hours after Boris’s speech monday to stay off work despite all our main contractors staying (and still) open.

Then yesterday recieved a phonecall and motivational speech that well get through it and will be furloughed from this Tuesday

Tiger King is incredible, I wont put any details but have a google of the story/characters

I saw a review which said its making a murderer crossed with eastbound and down, which is pretty much perfect

Just been to my local Asda, was all very civilized with a one in one out policy, people queuing 2ms apart with local hospital/fire/police workers being allowed straight in. Also one person at a time on the belts

The local Tesco is apparently still a free for all

Piers Morgan has been a legend throughout this (words I’d never thought I’d type) He just got a site shutdown live on TV by shaming them :D

My firms told everyone to stay at home until they recieve proper guidance/assurances from main contractors (all of whom are still open today)

The reality is none of the sites can follow the social distancing rules. My site has 500+ people, one hoist, one toilet block (3 urinals and 3 cubicles), a canteen and a seperate drying room all off which would hold a handful of people if you correctly followed the 2m rule. Add to that the tube/train situation makes the whole thing untenable

Piers Morgan has this as his daily issue so I fully expect the Govt to fold on it later

My work group chat (construction) is currently on fire that they’re currently having to go to work tomorrow, on a building site of 500+ people coming from all corners of London by Tube/Train etc etc

I’ve just put the call into work and they’re allowing me to claim self isolation until the lockdown hits as I’m no longer comfortable putting myself at risk as I work on a building site in London so indirectly have contact with a million plus people each day.

Add to that I care for my Mum and my Dad has terminal cancer (possibly weeks left) and them catching it will finish them off quicker than there other conditions

    Kudu

I always post this up, but I mainly use the Kudu as a standalone back protector and its superb and worth more than £65 on its own

Sorry – derailing a bit as I know I’m too late for this reply. However, I doubt whether multi-millionaires pay substantial inheritance tax as their “wealth managers” will cosy it all away in trusts and other such. Unless that law changed massively, that’ll remain the case IMO

I was speaking with my Brother in Law earlier, whose a Hedge Fund manager and he thinks after this week its the end of Capatalism as we know it and this time everyone will be in it together

No idea whats going on, oddly there was no invoice inside the bag. I looked at the feedback/items for sale before buying and nothing screamed scam

I’ve bought Saint stuff of a guy on Pinbike, who has a deal with bike-discount and that always has invoices inside

Before yesterday, I thought we were doing ok considering we’re a scaffolding firm however after yesterdays debacle i’m fuming

To cut a long story short: Someone at work recieves a phonecall from there wife in the morning to say shes been sent home with a fever and cough, he phones the office and is told to go home to self isolate for 7 days.

When he gets home he looks at the ACAS website and sees that their guidace says if you’re sent home with no symptoms you “should” be fully paid (no idea on the full legalities of this one) so he phones the office and gets no response as the Director in charge of tht part is off for the day

It gets kicked down the line to a Supervisor who doesn’t care about his job anymore and isn’t taking the whole thing seriously, with the result being he can comeback into work today (as the pay thing is up in the air). Then the Govt advice changes and hes still being allowed back, so this morning I’ve got to sit in a van with someone whose possibly infected

My Mum falls into the 12 week category as she has respiratory problems (amongst other things) and my Dad has just been sent home from hospital as they need the beds and he has terminal cancer (he’s coming home for Palliative care)

I know I’ll probably get it but, to forced into a scenario where I probably will get it esp with my parents situation has got me raging

    What say you STW

Edit for reasons I can’t say on here, the guy and his wife are a pair of weirdos who I wouldn’t trust in anyway when it comes to the truth, he would also still come into work if he had Ebola

I’m not surprised you’re struggling, the wheelbase is tiny on the 17 Jeffsy. Take that with 29″ wheels and your height and it’ll never work

A 2020 medium is as long than a 17 XL

Airlines are pretty much the same as restaurants/hotels. They all survive on a week to week cash flow

Long term BP are a steal for a safe rise. But personally, beyond that I wouldn’t touch anything for a month or so

You’re on crack if you think easyJet and IAG are strong. BA are the most profitable airline in the world and they are already talking about laying off staff

Neither of them or any other airline (bar the UAE backed ones) will survive without govt bailouts

Take it with a pinch of salt but I was speaking to someone in the trade today and 2021 bike ranges are in danger of not happening, especially ebikes. Already theres a 4 month backlog and theres discussion on whether to delay 2021 bikes to much later or just jump to 2022

I’ve fully had enough of the wind. I’ve been working on a tower block for 6 months and I think the cranes been winded off at least once a day for the last 3 month, in the last 2 weeks its worked for a day and will probably be out till Friday this week

He never thought clever, he was shit scared of getting hit. Its only when he realised Ruiz was an absolute mess he tried to take the fight to him

Joshuas been manufactured for the Lad bantz generation by Eddie Hearn (he was born in the next town from me and theres a reason you never hear anything about his life pre boxing), he’s undoubtedly a good boxer but he’s Bruno levels.
