I did actually have the app on my last phone now I think of it but couldn’t see myself using it in the heat of the moment. Will try my workplace to see if they will send me on a course. Off to practice the kiss of life on Mrs Mega now in the interest of health and safety (which may end with me needing first aid)

I got chatting to a lady in the pub once who made a bit of extra cash through escort services. She kept a ‘certain style’ of lovemaking reserved just for her long time partner as it was something special that they could keep just as theirs. smashing.

OP would that help the relationship work?

carbon wheels are not generally massively lighter but they are (apparently) massively stiffer.

The bronson probably felt sluggish compared to your 125mm bike just because it’s longer travel bike. I’d recommend trying a 5010 – I bought one and absolutely love it. It’s better going DH than my 160mm bike is uphill – if that makes sense.

when I went from 26 to 27.5 I noticed naff all difference in terms of wheel size. Maybe a bit better rolling but for all intents and purposes it felt like a 26″ bike.

I use shitty weather days to look for new trails.

Usually those rides are without flow as I plod about trying to locate hidden trail heads so the weather doesn’t really bother me. I found a cracker yesterday – a proper ribbon of singletrack that is left right – left right all the way down a gentle downhill to a fireroad to enable up and do it again loops. It’s riding crap now in the slop but come summer it’ll be magic.

oh and road bikes are always miserable, just look at the riders faces you pass 🙂

I’ve got a 10 year old subaru, which does everything very well (including drinking petrol) and is worth about the same as one terms school fees

“I was just riding along when a big patch of paint fell off my seat stay, a scuff appeared and a dent appeared too. My chain stays are completely chipped to buggery but I take really good care of my stuff so it must be a fault in the bike. Can I have a new bike please?”

The pinkbike thread and this user group are v useful

    YT UK facebook group[/url]

They do an XL in the alu model now.
If you go to FoD, BPW there will be loads of them about and people will let you try for size.

The bike is fapping brilliant and YT are very helpful. Buying direct isn’t for everyone though and I think that is one of the main considerations in buying it versus a locally sourced bike.

I have a pro 2 evo on a newish bike and it’s way quieter than other hope hubs I’ve heard. Any ideas why? I like noisy hope hubs. Do I need to pull it apart and poke around or are some just quieter?

sorry, I edited my post to replace the word ‘undeniably’ with ‘imo’ as I release others have different opinions and stating something as a fact can make you sound like a dick

Meh, average at best, similarly over-hyped like Pete Doherty, the whole ‘tortured artist’ thing really seems to get some falling over themselves to apply superlatives.
There are far, far better singers around.

don’t give a hoot about her image – I just love her voice which is imo brilliant and powerful

you’re right though – she’s no Susan Boyle

I love her voice more than any other I can remember – like all the other classic female soul & blue vocalists rolled into one and re-incarnated into a young girl from London. Such a tragic loss of a real vocal talent.

listen to this and see what you think

the sax solo ain’t bad either 😉

in all seriousness – if he has a young daughter at home he’s missing i’d get him something to help that situation

    just some daft ideas

    wifi dongle for Skype calls
scrap book to make a picture book of her baby years
book or audio book on ‘being a good dad’
shotgun & teenage daughter online management course (maybe a bit premature)

my brother had a staffordshire called Natasha

Friends used to have a terrier called Natasha. It used to rub it’s lady parts and backside on the carpet.

They were always shouting at the dog “Natasha stop mingeing!”

Made me chuckle but I suspect you had to be there..

the forthcoming UP3 will use a bioimpedence sensor to measure heart rate. They hope that this sensor will also allow things like stress and hydration to be measured. seems to make more sense than the optical sensor in some other devices. Price will be £150ish

sold a BTL in September for a pretty good price. Money is invested elsewhere and am watching house prices vs rental incomes to see whether to jump in again – perhaps an overseas property which we can use as well.

not sure if anyone has mentioned it or not yet but if buying a flat watch out for management and maintenance charges which can eat into rental income quite substantially.

we found managing agents to be absolutely useless – waste of money. I’d recommend using an agent to find tenants but doing the research, checks and final rental agreement negotiation yourself. Managing the property is time consuming but to get a decent result and standard for both you and tenant I found it better to do this myself.
