If it’s not too wet – Crossmarks front and rear are my option. They are the best tyres for dry rocks and gravel for me.

I had one “on-line meeting” on Open University last year. What a waste of time…

I just can’t get past the colours. It’s like the graphics designers are 12 year old marvel comic fans.

What year models did you try?

2014 and 2015 come in nice colour schemes.

Check if your mech hanger is not loose – I had that issue some time ago, very frustrating… Only to find out that the hanger’s bolts weren’t tight

Is there really any noticeably difference? It seems like a bit of “cash milking” for me to be honest…

I understand if there was like 1/4 of a turn to do before the freehub engages on the “cheap” stuff, but I assume we are talking about fractions of the centimeter, aren’t we? 8)

+1 to Troy Lee A1. I got it for my birthday 2 month ago, since then I’ve been using it almost everyday. It includes some 100k half-day cross-country adventures; very comfortable thing!

We were very excited to do it on our holiday in France in August. But we didn’t realise all the catches there are in French… Despite knowing 3 languages – French is none of them :?

mrchrispy The catches come in different difficulty levels. We were aiming for “easy” ones, to let our 6 year old girl enjoy finding them.

But we tried one “Mystery” one, it was nearby. The GPS only took us to the graveyard, where we had to find specific graves, then there was some formula given to get further location clues using some letters from the names shown on the gravestones… We gave up after about 30 minutes

I’d suggest to take it off, re-fit and inflate to maximum pressure and leave it like that overnight.

Does ‘different sources’ mean someone else is paying for it? Otherwise why would you give up the significant savings C2W provides?

There is a parallel scheme running there, which is accepted not just in Evans.

I tried 760 for few weeks. Quite nice downhill, but otherwise “nah!”. Came back to 680…

    I’ve got an idea!

Upload one of the older rides from the found device on your Strava – it will show that you shared the ride with the owner (considering you and him/her use Strava) :D

I feel discriminated as I am forced wearing one – there is no “bare head mount” for GoPro’s that would withstand and average black run bumps…

There’s two different styles of Octalink, one has shorter splines.

It’s XTR and DuraAce that have shorter splines.

Just make sure the axle length matches your crankset. I used to like the cheap and cheerful ES-21.

That will be my 4 years old Camelbak Podium 660ml bottle. It has never fell out of the cage (it’s not slippery in texture) and despite being used almost everyday in every conditions and carrying anything from water to freshly squeezed juice it hasn’t developed any “unpleasant scent” (well, it receives a gentle bleach-therapy occasionally).

Outside it looks like it has just survived a nuclear war…

Now we need motor-assisted running shoes to make life on Strava even more complicated.

    Try to:
    1. Remove the rear wheel.
    2. Put a drop of chainlube on each drop out, spread around with your finger.
    3. Put the wheel back on and try uphill…

It sorted out my “cracked frame” problem!

I always have the lights on: when driving (that’s a habit from Poland – by law you must have them on all year round) and when riding a bike (that’s after realizing how little cyclists are seen from the drivers perspective).

Xperia z3 here. Much more accurate than my Garmin Edge 200! And the battery life is excellent – 6 hours ride with a lot of map checking and photo snapping (plus occasional text/phone call) and it didn’t drain half of the juice.

I found Endura products to have good… endurance!

2nd year on my Humvees (the liner went after 7 months of hard work), no sign of wear on them!

I was going to recommend one of the Topeak pumps – I’ve had it for good two years, it’s been working very well, nice and solid mount, spares easily available…

And then I realized that I actually found it in the woods, so someone had actually lost it!

    Lovely ride, indeed!

Plenty of climbing, it wasn’t easy for sure.

There was a guy on a green CX bike, he was “a bit older” than most folks… And he was clearing the rocky descents faster than many MTB’kers!

I’m happy I cleared nicely and in full controll two descents with which I used to feel not very confident.

And the chocolate brownie was so good!!! I think I had about 20 pieces…

Last year I called a local police (not the emergency number, mind) from the middle of nowhere: massive field outside a town with just few paths on it. They had no clue when I told them my position based on OS Grid…

Just pump some 50 psi into the tyres and you’ll be fine. It’s not a race, is it?

What happens if you use the pins in the chain?

I’m not doing it again after I almost lost my teeth when climbing out of the saddle on short, steep climb…
