Endura make one – it’s really nice, but it has no pockets (except one small side one)…

    Sram

    “sram” in Polish (our native) means “I’m taking a s**t”… Honestly… 8)

    Sprocket

I really like these two! Thanks! :D

I washed my Endura merino socks in 40° by mistake. Size XL (47).

I’m not sure if my 6-year old girl would be able to squeeze her feet in them now.

It’s not really that expensive for something that really works. I paid £11 for Tech Wash and Softshell Proof combo (300ml each) two weeks ago. Two jackets and a pair of shorts sorted with only 100ml of each product – and it works perfectly!

The shorts are not proper waterproof ones (you remember those ultra-green Scott ones from a PSA last winter?), they had however some DWR coating when new. This obviously worn out. After the treatment they are still super light and very breathable, but during the last two days of heavy showers they kept my liner shorts nice and dry! 8)

I was at Halfords yesterday to pick up some bits and I had a look on this bike. To be honest it looks very nice! Good spec, light, the silver colour looks cool too – I think it seems to be a great XC bike!

When you have a little cold, get on a bike and 2 minutes later you can finally breath through your nose…

Edge 200 works well for me. Assisted with either paper OS map in the backpack or uploaded on a phone – for reference, when I feel I’m lost ;-)

It’s been a week since I’ve had my Crank Brother Iodine2 saddle – using it every day for off-road commutes. Really nice seat!

Check it out on CRC, they have some amazing deal on it at the moment…

Yeah, as long as you’re out there spinning those pedals and loving it, you are doing a great thing!

What about new wheel standard for road bikes? Surely the roadies also deserve the tarmac to come alive!

Google -> “find nearest ALDI store” -> “navigate” -> buy their LS Winter Jersey.

It’s absolutely awesome bit of kit, the sleeves are plenty long for my long arms!

None of those are proper maps
OS is what you need for navigation and route planning

That last one looks like something you might get at Alton Towers to find your way to the Forbidden Valley
I’m not talking about navigation or route planning, but creating a segment on Strava

To be honest OS map does not provide as much details as the “Alton Towers” on the pic above. And yes – I’m aware that OSM should be treated like Wikipedia

Hmm… I don’t think it’s easier finding the tracks here:

Not sure what you mean by green and white screen, do you mean the resolution of aerial imagery is poor?

Haha, what I mean is Google Maps dont show any tracks/paths, so zooming into the forest sections is like zooming onto a green sheet of paper
Of course changing the view to “satellite” makes a change – you can see the tree tops nicely…

…or do old people still wave their sticks at riders and curse them?

They have upgraded few levels up. Expect fireball punches, bicycle-kick combos and spinning takedowns. Some have the ability to reduce your live-level to 20%.

    You’ve been warned.

I got few pairs of the woolen socks and a pair of the waterproof ones – very comfy and they seem to be very well made!

The softshell neck warmer and leg warmers also.

Compression Base Layer – I went for size down (normally wear L) and I struggled a bit to put the M on, but when it’s on it feels very good! But then it’s another struggle – to take it off…

I’m also impressed with the winter jersey (the more lightweight one) – L fits as I wanted: not too “racey”, good sleeves length, YKK zips… Bargain!

Whyte Fairfield Ladies[/url] This is a heluva nice bike – my wife’s got it, I rode it few times too. Worth consideration!

The way the bell is built into the brake lever deserves applause in itself!

Are the shoes worth consideration? Has anyone seen them?

I’m hoping to find some leftovers at the store tonight…

Sealskinz have re-designed their socks, now they’re gonna have a tight silicone gripper at the top, which supposed to make them even better!

Normally I used to ignore all the Aldi offers – it used to be too far away. But they opened the store in my town very recently……

There used to be that old Bontrager saddle that was considered as the Wold’s Most Uncomfortable Thing Ever.

I forgot to come back and update.

I fitted the o-ring and it fixed the “tug-o-war” hose fitting issue. Hose fitted nice and easy into the bladder again. Brilliant.

    Great warranty support from CamelBak.

Good to know! Still waiting for mine. It was a struggle on Sunday morning…..

Oh, Halfords used to sell a “breathable bike cover” – I bought one 5 years ago, when we bought the house and I was keeping my bike outside.

I must say – it was very good, mega-strong and it did allow the bike to dry. Kept the rain at bay with no issues.

Well, it’s still going strong, but now I only use it when we have guests and the bike must leave the dining room…

Buy her a nice bike – she’ll want to keep it inside.

Then why can’t you sore yours in the house?

    I’d put Radio One on.

I’m pretty sure I’d get a Strava KOM up that climb, trying to free myself from the FM torture ASAP.

@gelert I’m waiting for mine now, then!

By then I’ll probably use bottles on tonight’s ride – don’t even want to think about fitting that basta*d hose…

OP, and you really think it was a problem???

Then imagine that: I was driving a company van 2 days ago and for about 1km I had a dude in front of me riding in white, very thin lycra shorts (not bib-shorts) and cotton t-shirt which rolled nicely up under his rucksack…

Oh yes, he was keeping to his lane, he wasn’t doing anything stupid, he had lights, he had helmet, he was keeping good pace. I couldn’t overtake him due to the roadworks.

Oh God… I still can’t get rid of that hairy crack from my memory….. 8O

I think it would look much more spectacular if there was no water on the bottom.
