It’s on the same brake blocks and tires(just worn) from new apparently – don’t know if that means much about the condition though.

Anyone else know/think it’s good value (so long as it’s in good nick), before I go take a look?

Going to have a look this weekend. Have been offered the whole bike (stock spec pretty much) for £1250 which seems like a better deal.
I was wondering if the frame warranty is valid with Giant? the guy has the paperwork/receipt from his LBS… would it need transferring, anyone know?

I’ve been looking at the tcr and have been offered a 2013 tcr advanced sl (red+black+white) frame & fork for £1000. I would obviously go try the bike out first but do you think this a good deal? and has the frame changed much from 2013 to 2015, other than the colour scheme? It is the non-ISP version.

I have some RS80’s on my CR1 and they go well so I’d recommend those 🙂 I did have some pretty naff alex rims on it before though.

Yes, have a road bike and am upgrading.
Using it for club runs over the summer, not racing but needs to be fast… don’t want anything too sportivey. Needs to be size 52cm ish.

I went for some Louis Garneau LS-100 shoes in the end after trying them on at evans. Went for a size 44 and they feel very comfy, yet to try them on the bike though.

They just rattle a lot when moving, might be the roads up here in Leeds (they are pretty sh*te).

As for the hubs on the 6700, the front hub is fine, it’s the rear that is making a kind of rubbing noise, even when removed from the bike…. and there seems to be friction before it stops rotating completely…. I guess I’d like to know when a hub needs a service…

My RS80’s are also quite out of true now after about 300miles use.

Yeah, other road bikes seem to have the bolt/nut reccessed but this fork doesnt seem to.

Yeah I thought I may be fitting the wrong one but i’m pretty sure i’m not as the rear one has a shorter screw bit on it.

That’s my own measurement of what I have, 38mm – it’s still about 20mm short though i reckon. I’m wondering if i’m missing something here!!

The frame I have is in the 2012 catalog, and you can see the slight differences with the frame compared to the models above. I guess I just need to get it built.

Thanks. Yeah I think a better set of wheels might be the first upgrade, the alex ones are pretty heavy I think. The fit is ok, perhaps a bit stretched out as it has a 110mm stem so I think i’m going to try a 90mm one. There are a shed load of spacers on the headset which I may try to lose too.

I think i’m going to stick with it, looking at the frame, it seems to be the same frame used thoughout the range, including some pretty expensive models so it must be decent. (I bought this bike quite last minute for an event! not ideal)

I have had a trek 1400 alloy framed bike. This is my first carbon one. I’m happy to upgrade it, but I just want to know if it will make it much different really..
