doh! the disadvantage of not buying through a LBS i guess.

Will see what they say, so far they have been excellent in every respect so here’s hoping it carries on.

cheers for the information. wasnt bought from a local bike shop as its quite a new bike, so have emailed the company i got it from.

I have video’d the lever action, although its more in the feel than the look, but the rear brake (right in the video as watching) is stiff to compress as returns slowly, compared to the left brake which is really reactive and easy to compress.

will see what the bike shop says but might need to then take it somewhere local. bit annoying after spending £6k but fingers crossed its nothing that cant be sorted easily.

It’s not a waste of time. My mate is a policeman and only last week went round to someone’s house as someone bought stuff on eBay that was stolen from them, got address, went to police station and police went round to sellers house. Bike was postcoded and original owner had serial number etc. they took it all back for him

Bid on whatever ends first then go round with thirty people off here and just take back all the stuff!

They definitely go to 120mm but god knows how

Cheers, and yeah that’s what I’m thinking. The lower race certainly seems more noticeable than the cane creek one, the cane creek one was just a metal ring whereas the hope one has a rubber part and a metal part so reckon its just that.

Just wanted to check though before carrying on.

I asked about lowering a set to 100mm and got told it couldn’t be done and that r53 etc wouldn’t lower them at all, but I know jared graves had a set of 120mm devilles on a 4x bike.

Ps I thought devilles were 150 to start?

Hmm I know this isn’t quite the right instructions but more than the none mine came with.

I think I’ve done everything in the right order except I didn’t get any 28mm o rings?

I’m doing a frame swap on my orange five which should be a good way to learn. Already done crank swaps etc but all off then all back on again should teach me quite a bit while also being relatively easy as I’ll know where all the bits came from.

People trying to stop cyclists using footpaths I imagine. I’ve heard of people putting barbed wire across footpaths before

I know of three bike shops that all lost a bike over £3k in value because someone came in, left car keys and bank card and never came back. Turned out car keys were fakes/stolen / as were the bank cards.

If I owned a bike shop I think I’d follow anyone that took a bike out!

I don’t blame them one bit, you can’t even borrow a DVD without photo ID, why should someone let you take a £3k bike with less?

When you see the adapter you’ll understand, it’s just two little metal bits for non drive side. It enables you to torque against the bb without damaging anything.

I pressed them in using a big socket and a rubber mallet, as they are a very tight fit

    mbarnes

The Gxp part only goes on the driveside too so you will be fine.

Crap picture but hope bb, Gxp adapter fitted to non drive side, my chain device is on the iscg guides, but I have one spacer fitted.

My hope bb with Gxp adapter has one drive side spacer if that helps?

Yeah they are point ones. They are amazing! Very very grippy and I personally like that they rotate quite slowly. Also very light.

I wear five-tens to cycle and the only downside is they are so grippy you cannot move your foot without lifting it off the pedals. Expensive but I like them.
