If you’re on strava you can do a segment search. I believe the “rabbits” decent is called “after double gates”.

It starts from the golf course nearest to aggleston rock and goes off towards the bus stop.

At least that’s what I call rabbits. Hopefully it’s the same.

Yes James are still around, I must of been to at least 3 “last ever” gigs. The first was in Brighton with support from (then relatively unknown) stereophonics and Turin Breaks. True story.

Reef – although still going, had that moment in time, helped by tfi Friday, it’s your letters. Been to see them a couple of times in the last few years still good in my eyes.

Starsailor, and for something really terrible I give you limp bizkit.

Also the levellers? Have you run mad? Awesome band that I still look forward to hearing their tour dates.

Back home now, absolutely knackered, mosh pit was insane. Even the moshing to the back ground music before they took to the stage was pretty heavy.

Personally I reckon that was the last of Carter, any lingering doubt I had was extinguished with the passing of John Fatbeast. Not a view shared with some of my mates who think we’ll be doing it all again very soon.

    Loads surely?

Pearl jam – elderly women behind the counter in a small town

Frank turner – I knew prufrock before he was famous
Frank turner – reasons not to be an idiot

    Tim barry – 222
Tim barry – avoiding catatonic surrender

Chemical brothers – hey boy, hey girl (in the song it’s said the other way around)

Pogues – fairytale of new York

Little Yak (age 6) eventually got a kids race entry – massive thanks to James’s team for that! Best wishes and get well soon to your team-mate too. Little Yak was made up and smashed it round for 5th.

Yay, well done little yak. Good to meet you Yak glad you had a good time, thanks for the beers.

My second 24/12 and had a great time, our teams results suffered for being fat, unfit and 1 member short, but we were never going to bother the top (or middle) of the timesheets.

The guy on the mic was great, he always had a quip or info on the rider crossing the line. As I crossed the line, arms triumphantly aloft, “ah well at least you’ve had a nice day”

The support around the track, as others have said was brilliant, loved the night laps- clouds of dust, the sports massage really helped and getting as much free clif down my gob must’ve done some good.

Could the dj please get more downloads/cds/vinyl for next year though.

He’s scammed my northern mate out of 210 quid for a pair of wheels a few months ago, we knew he was from Bournemouth but not sure where. That address will be useful.

Varies almost daily, last lot of light shearing (mild steel) was the same as Wrightyson, around 140/t. Expect a lot less for anything they have to do any work on ie stripping and separating van bits.

An old trick was to leave a hose running in it for an hour or so, fill up fuel tank, seats, footwell etc. Best if you have you’re own hi ab lorry for this.

Wasn’t there a copper a few years ago doing warp factor 3 down the m54? “testing the new car” & “honing his skills” I believe was the excuse. Obviously he was let off without charge. My money’s on this going the same way.

Out in some fairly large surf and couldn’t be bothered to paddle back in. So just paddled out and to the side of the line up, dropped me wetsuit and released some brown trout back into the wild. I had to adopt a sort of sitting position with a bit of a breaststroke to keep a bit of forward momentum to avoid any comeback.

Edit: location, south of France somewhere north of Hossegor.

If Indy wasn’t there, they’d have taken the medallion easily and been on their way thus accelerating their progress to the burial site and thence the island and their impending deaths.

Ah! But the Nazis had to follow Indy to find out where the headpiece was, they’d never have found it otherwise.

Anyway my classics that I don’t like are,
    Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
    House of flying daggers
    Alien (s) all of them
    Anchorman

Perhaps he was going to retire at the end of the series (expected to be his last tour anyway), but was told he wasn’t playing in the next test. Makes sense if he’s no longer first choice and his hearts not in it.

Just speculating though, I don’t know, or care really, he’s made his choice for what he feels is the right reasons which is all anyone can do.

    Don’t be bitter.

Got some a couple of weeks ago. Beware mine were supplied as plain grips, no packaging and no bar end plugs.

Phoned on one, they said that’s how they are supplied. They were quite happy to give me a refund if I wanted.

I was considering one of these as well. The quality may not be gopro standard, but as a toe in the water to start to video some rides it looks pretty good value. German made, 3 year warranty.

Edit: it’s in Lidl, not Aldi

How about getting hold of some pallets. I’ve got some on the floor and up the wall to allow air flow around the wood pile and wall.

    Camel trail?

Word of warning, we got stung to hire a bike as well as a trailer, didn’t see one hire place that didn’t do it this way to be honest.

I’m not going there, going to Joe Munroe in Poole. He does lovely patterns, which is what I’m getting.

Some friends of mine have great work by this guy, am considering popping my tattoo cherry with him, so to speak.

OP, I really Like it. Show us when it’s complete.

I was firmly in the bunkum camp, then whilst getting some physio on my shoulder, she asked if I minded some acupuncture, I think I smiled, and muttered under my breath, but she was nice and it would mean more hands on time so, “yeah sure, whatever” was my response.

I’m now firmly in the “I don’t know why, but it works” camp.

Hope car drivers start getting the same level of attention…

Whilst waiting at some traffic lights that were green the other day (we couldn’t go anywhere as the traffic lights further down the road were red and backing up the traffic), I could see the car infront getting twitchy and sure enough the lights started to change and he just has to go through and wait on the yellow hatchings. I mean God forbid he would end up 3 or 4 cars further back in the queue. Unfortunately for him a copper on a bike was coming the other way. Laugh? I very nearly pissed myself.

So whether you’re on a bike, in a car, on a unicycle or bouncing along on a space hopper, if you do a dumb thing right under a coppers nose then don’t expect to get away with it.

Could you get your hands on an m12 bolt and offer it up to check the pitch? My first guess would be standard coarse. (1.75 I think?)

Loved the whole experience, it was my first race and to finish on the podium was a great feeling. (2nd 6hr team). I found the course tough going but rewarding. I’ve got no races to compare it to, but if they’re all like that then I’ll definitely be doing more. I take my hat off to all the solo riders, 1 lap and I needed a rest!

My one gripe other than the already mentioned timings was the music. I brought my family with me to cheer me on and by enlarge we all had a terrific day, however, having tunes like Puddle of Mudd – She F*****g Hates me at 3 in the afternoon isn’t on. It’s not a big grumble really, the missus just took my girls for a walk when we realized it wasn’t the radio edit. A bit more consideration needed is all.

Can’t believe I’m moaning about music, next year it’ll probably be too loud for me, God I’m getting old :(

Square and Compass pub at Worth Matravers, with a walk to dancing ledge.
Hunt for fossils at Kimmeridge, Lulworth Cove is worth a visit with some nice views from the coastal path. (Some of the path collapsed last week, just use common sense).
