    Gave my Eastpeak to my son….I found it far to long, great for going downhill, but not round corners.

    Love my hardtail…..but love my road bike even more!

    Compact bars might help, brings the hoods closer and gives a shallow drop, I also use slim shims which bring the shifters closer to bars.

    If you get a compact alu frame with lots of seat post showing (pref with a 27.2 post dia) this should soften ride.

    You'll also need a more relaxed geometry, something like a Giant Defy.

    Hope you sort something out.

    Thanks, I can run it via the down tube, but going on form with cross races you'll end up with half the field attached to the cable.

    Will have to stick with LX thats already fitted 🙁

    Takes a while to get used to position, you are better of riding with the spacers and then reducing as you get used to bike. Or leave as is if you are happy, Easton recommend no more than 50mm worth of spacers below stem.

    I've got a lab/airedale cross who is incredibly fast and agile, pure labs tend to get rather portly!

    One problem is she is very preoccupied with chasing Squirrels 🙂
