Friend of mine has had it for years, he’s 65 and he does 3, 40 mile road rides a week. I think if he stops the exercise he is more likely to suffer.

He used to swim every morning but has now moved over to cycling. We did allot of the major climbs around the Tourmalet this year, I’m sure you will get your exercise regime sorted, as PJay says your GP or Physio is the first place to consult.

Will see if I can put you in touch with my mate via email

[/quote]Recently here in Swansea we’ve had a women-only running group using the shared seafront path a lot. They spread out all the way across the path (about 6-8 waddlers abreast) and are completely oblivious to any other users, even when they have 100s of lumens heading straight towards them. I thought it was only going to be a hazard on that particular path, but then got forced off the pavement by them as I walked to work….

I’ve nearly taken them out a few times….love the ‘waddlers’ bit 😆

Again Schwalbe Ultremo R1’s, very fast, but not a winter tyre.

I run Michelin Krylion’s on my winter bike.

    I’m with ‘traildog’…….

‘I have my bars at pretty much the same drop as the road bike. The hoods are slightly higher though and the reach is slightly shorter.’

    Wheels/tyres first

FSA Omega compact is very heavy (BB is steel) plus use a fork with a carbon steerer.

Vero bars are also very weighty.

I think a maximum number of posts in a month would work, I've had some great bargains and the only problem I've had was the guy selling loads of Sram cassettes…..still had money back tho.

Not much traffic at the moment on classifieds, maybe they are all waiting for their tax bills……….money is tight lately 🙁

You can loop together ''Southgate golf course to Parkmill, and Southgate to Pwll Du' with Clyne by going over golf course bridle way at Murton to Clyne farm.

Clubber's pic is Kilvey hill (east side of Swansea) which also has a purpose built downhill run

Very nice bike…but give him chance to ride it!

Although it would look better with the stem flipped, saddle is not that far out 🙄

Check out the geometry on both frames, Ribble might be a more relaxed position being a 'Sportive', longer head tube etc.

3-4 cups of filter in the morning, to kick me into life….no coffee after lunch time

Had a cup of instant for the first time in years this morning (had to get up at 4am), instant is not coffee, there's no comparison…yuck

According to the email I had from Schwalbe you should'nt be riding on 'R' model!!!

They replaced both sets of my 'R' Ultremos with 'R1'

Never had a problem with Ultremos, all black version. But they were replaced by Schwalbe with new R1's recently…..they are superb.
