Im still running these on 2 bikes…cable operated and sealed hydraulic units and there PM. Thought I had a stuck calliper a while ago, but it turned out to be the cable!! Never had a problem with them

I went the Lynskey route, 26″ Ti Frame/single speed…..fitted 700c wheels, full carbon rigid fork (size’d for 26’r), 29’r tyres, drop bars. Its brilliant and comes in around 19lbs

Just noticed I’ve already commented on this thread, I’m repeating myself 🙁

If an E-bike is anything like the weight of our Labrador I won’t be able to lift it over anyway 🙂
Had major problems yesterday in The Brecon Beacons trying to access footpath with no way of getting dog through. Luckily found a very low stepover access further up road.

Didn’t mean to upset you young E-bikers…..Happy Christmas and keep riding!

70 next year and I still love buying bikes! My cross bike gets the most use, next to my ti single speed hardtail. My love of road riding has really lapsed, a lot of drivers really are just so impatient and selfish. Looking forward to doing some cross races (rides in my case) next year in the over 70 cat, less competition 🙂

….and I’m not buying an ebike till I really need one!

Love Bikes but, as PeterPoddy says:….

‘sports bikes with illegal cans. It wasn’t nice. IMO it’s a blight that needs removing’

Why would you want 2 pieces of stale bread rubbing against the rim trying to stop you…

I only have 1 bike out of 5 with no discs

Again used chinese job off eBay (around £60), I ordered a 26″ wheel size which had loads of clearance on a 700c wheel. Just check axle to crown sizing. This was on my Lynskey build, which was a single speed 26″ mtb frame, I ran 700c wheels with 29’r mtb tyres plus drop bars…..its a hoot.

Amazing result for G….but not the most enjoyable stage to watch…..just waiting for a spectator to get in the way.

Give me the stages in the Pyrenees with more Basque fans, who are more respectful.

Love my Endura FS260 Pro SL bibs which are available in 2 lengths, I order the regular length (which are short in length), all available in different pad widths.

    I usually buy the small….which come up small, I’m 5’3″, 28 waist

Original Renault 5 turbo was a hoot to drive, but abysmal build quality.

Citroen 2cv was a real drivers car, you were up and down gears and you could fling it into corners…..but zero protection from impact and a major problem to start if it was damp weather.

Loved my test drive in a Suzuki Cappuccino 🙂

I suppose if you have one of these new fangled (heavy) bouncy bikes with lots of travel its your own personal uplift 😉

I really enjoyed Dauphine on ITV, but you need to record it, as the frequency and length of adverts is terrible.

    Move to Swansea….

I left my Giant XTC outside the front of the house from 7pm till 8am last week….

Of course nobody nicked it, its a 26’r!

I’d rather have the UK…you should be able to challenge something which which you feel is not acceptable.

Then again a driver parked next to me at the re-cycling depot did ask me if I’d like a thump for asking him to turn off his engine….it had been running for 1/4 hour!

    I’m a fit alpha male, OAP….5’4″ cyclist 😉

Took my cross bike with Vittoria Adventure 38mm for 2 miles on the beach (which is still sandy), then a wander round forest area, not much mud.

I did come across a puddle of doom, but it was in a seldom used area of woods, on the whole its dry.

    This was on Monday

Fitted a pair of Vittoria Adventure Trail II TNT 2 weeks ago went up tubeless no problem. They are slightly heavier than others but seem very robust.

Rode it at Pembrey 2 days ago, sand and gravel….brilliant tyre and every cheep on PX.

Somebody was selling a pair on classifieds recently

Bought a Lynskey Ridgeline 26’r single speed frame on here, now with 700c wheels, rigid carbon 26″ fork, 1.75 Veerubber 29’r tyres and drop bars, 19lbs.

Will email a pic, not having much luck posting pics anymore!

Travelled through mid Wales to Liverpool a month ago. Verges were ok until you got towards Wrexham, just so difficult to understand the selfish mentality of some people.

650 looks like the way forward if you want something bigger.

Just fitted some 38mm Vittoria Adventure Trail’s on my 700c wheels, leaves about 2mm gap on bridges!

I did put some negative comments about juintech/Acor piston on forum, then found out it was all down to a rusted compassionless cable. So I’ve had no problem with mine run on 2 cyclocross bikes. One with 2000 miles of mud and sand, they are very easy to set up too.

Update to the stuck calliper…..problem turned out to be compressionless cable which was rusted inside!! According to my LBS cable did not have a plastic inner liner?

Bought a Lynskey single speed 26″ mtb frame on classifieds (now repaired with some agricultural welding!), now runs 700c wheels, drop bars, full carbon rigid fork and 1.9″ 29’r tyres. Its a hoot on nice undulating hills, but hard work on my old legs on anything steep.

But it wasn’t built for that, whether it’s a mtb with drop bars or monster cross, I still love it!

Love my Sportful Fiandre Light NoRain Soft-shell Jacket, really light and packs up small. Only trouble is getting it cheap, I bought a ladies in large and its brilliant.

Also have the Endura mentioned above, which is breathable but doesn’t pack up small.
