They do look good. Not heard of any bad reports. A few developed problems with one of the speakers but not that common. Upgradable to android 2.2 in the next couple of months.

Been looking at getting one as well but not sure of where to go for best deal as have been using O2 PAYG for past 5 years so out of touch with all the contracts etc

cheers for all the info, pretty sure its a specialized stout hub with a mavic x223 rim on the front. Probably easiest just to get a new front wheel to go with the fork if getting something with a 20mmm axle. Would like to keep it fairly light if at all possible although do have an older rockhopper hardtail.

Running the high mount as i was finding i was getting a fair few pedal strikes. I believe this was fairly common? Guessing the 120mm fork on the front possibly contributes to that by lowering the front end and BB.

have pinged you an email rob.

reading up a bit on some reviews etc and sounds as though fox forks are pretty service intensive / costly? Are they worth the extra costs for servicing? or am i misinterpretaing some research?

lyriks coil sound nice and take it they will be smoother than the lyrik 2 step? I assume they have the disadvantage of being heavier than the two step? And guessing i’d have to get a new front wheel as well?

Rob what is the length/daimeter of the steerer? what year are they and have they been serviced recently?

I’ve been looking at the motorola defy for its waterproof / ruggedness capabilities.

Have heard a few people having problems with water indicators in iphones being triggered by condensation from people going warm indoors from cold outside but have no idea how bad it is? Hence my thoughts towards the defy….although O2 dont seem see any contracts with O2.

check out http://forum.kitecrowd.com/ lots and lots of useful advice in there. (although as mentioned above you get tossers everywhere) Its as addictive as crack and twice as expensive when you get hooked!

As said above start small (2-3m 4 line foil) to get the basics and then work up from there. The small kite then becomes your high wind kite so its not a wasted purchase. Try find some people local to you and go say hi, most kiters i know are friendly and happy to offer advice and give you a try of their kit to see how you get on with it.

Before long you’ll be looking to play on the water and the snow as well :)

been thinking about this sort of thing as well. Have a set of cateye abs 25 lights that i was thinking could do with some improvement. No idea what lumen count they will be outputting, tried a search on line but didnt come up with much. Running 10w flood and 15w spot. Whats the best way to up upgrade / is it worth it? think they are (6v 3000mah batterys)

is it possible to fit the 18650 battery pack in the hammond box so it’s an all in one unit? Looks as though it would be very close. Is the internal box dimension 20mm high? (dont have mine yet) Holder is 21.54mm, battery 18mm so may be able to shave something off to fit it in?

As mentioned above, i’d be happy to pay for a kit if you decide to sell them as a kit. Was gutted i missed teh boat first time round. Email is in profile.

same as bigjim here, trout/balckcat, if anymore kits were to come up i’d certainly be interested.
