I havent read all the Posts so apologies if someone else has covered this, if you have any annual leave left then use that as notice period, either put it in for your last two weeks prior to telling them then slap your notice in four four weeks which will be two weeks work and two weeks hols
Otherwise put a months notice in and go off sick at the first sign off stress

Buy another leisure battery or buy a gas cool box
Or fill your fridge to the max and keep it off during the night when it’s cooler and on during the day when you are less likely to be using other stuff like lights etc

Me, I would get a small genny FWIW

In the same boat, by eck job hunting has changed, had an issue with a retailers website wanting me to copy and paste my CV every time I did it it killed it, then there’s the employers websites that take about three hours to answer all the questions just so they can psychometric ally test you then match your answers to specific competencies then there’s joining all the recruitment sites , I have lost the will to live

Don’t know whether it’s whippet more like Lurcher of some sort, mad as a box of frogs, plays fetch all day, chews the babies toys, runs round the house like a lunatic including hurdling sofas, soooo loving and for all his faults I wouldn’t swop him for the world, can open doors too both ways
It’s your call but be prepared for all the effort your going to need to put in, he’s the one at the back BTW

Oh and boy does he like running behind me on the bike

It won’t be 10k it will be more like 3k, my Daughters car got rammed off the road on a roundabout by an old codger drifting lanes pushed her up the arco and straight into a lamppost , both my daughters were in the car and both received whiplash injury payment but the had pics of the seatbelts imprinted on their chest and shoulders along with other minor cuts and bruises, payout ? 3k each
She also needs to keep going to doctors/physio etc for a year , I crashed into the back of a car full of bodybuilders and they all claimed whiplash even though their necks were bigger than my waist but failed to keep hospital appointments so it was thrown out

As above, the pads should come with the metal fitting kit

    mattzzzzzz

Just an update after re-reading your post the fitting kit is rubber coated so wont damage your car

Sounds like you have the footpack and fitting kit, does the fitting kit extend down and go on the roof crease? If so they are correct
    Here’s mine on a fiesta

Use Carbon paste too , the little silicone balls in the paste help it grip at a much lower torque rating

In the trade do to speak(well was)cheese has been a staple theft item since the eighties I have seen full shelves cleared and caught guys who could barely run due to the weight of the stuff down their coat. Joints of meat were always the favourite along with coffee, spirits, razors, batteries , health and beauty products and tins of red salmon. The tags were poor on chilled items as the cold atmosphere means they do not attach properly, I used to hide them under the proper label , great fun with new starters though- stick a tag in their pocket before they leave the shop, also good for someone you suspect has pinched but cannot prove it- just stand at the entrance and wave a sticker/ tag concealed in your hand then you can search em, ” sorry Pal machine must be playing up”

Same as waswas although yours is square mines circular I don’t see a problem it being the worst of both worlds, very deep and great for a soak the only issue I can see is if your are unsteady on your feet as its tall to get over but being as this is a bike forum most peeps should be able to swing a leg

The units were from MFI before they went pop, they are readily available from other sources as ours is now 7 years old, the bath / shower combo was a good idea as it meant keeping the bath and a shower also , the tiles are a copy of some limestone ones I wanted until I found out they were going to cost 2 grand !

Somebody much more experienced and knowledgeable will probably be able to give you a better answer but there is Sherwood pines( North Notts) and surrounding bits which is the obvious one
Not really sure about south Notts depends where you are going to relocate
Personally I would plumb for somewhere semi North Notts although it depends on your budget then you are not too far away from Sheffield either

I have had a freelander sport td4 for 6 years and it’s never let me down, I bought a pathfinder last year to replace it and regretted it, luckily I had kept the freelander so sold the pathfinder and I will now keep it until it falls to bits, the pathfinder was shocking .
If you can put up with the date interior and remove the egr valve they are a good little 4×4 .£245 tax for
mine, loved the snow in 2010/2011.
Never got stuck in fields /tracks when I go fishing In some pretty remote areas

I have a bailey Oklahoma and its probably the largest you can go on single axle, used to tow it with a diesel pathfinder (nissan Navara variant )and it was fine, fixed bed at rear very nicely specced can sleep 4 not too expensive to buy, mines a 2004 and it’s aged quite well compared to some

Why would I need another car? Mileage /mpg and cost of tyres as it runs 18 inch alloys, I’m thinking an old saxo/106 15d that would do 60 + mpg and be run for pennies I could end up working 50 miles away do running the freelander would prove expensive

Will be interested how this thread pans out as have a freelander for towing caravan and bike duties and a smaller company car that goes back next week as my jobs finished, once new employment is sought I’m going to need a runabout for work duties as I will probably have to travel so I’m thinking two car policies as well missus doesn’t drive so freelander will sit at home most of the time.

I don’t drink or anything that was my attempt at sarcasm and the NI fund pays for the redundancy, my point was with a 10 month old and no savings , my wife’s earnings will not cover the gas, elec, water, council tax and food without even considering all other stuff, have spoken to all my creditors e.g. Mortgage etc so will be ok for a few weeks/months but I cannot get my head around the decision making process of DWP and HMRC that’s why I asked if any experts out there, I can tighten my belt but I don’t want to bury my head in the sand and end up with CCJs bailiffs etc

Have a look at a stokke xplory with travel system bit like marmite but really easy to manoeuvre and your little one is very high up so you can interact, only issue is price as ours was 1200 with all the bits
