Are you reading the same thread? No one has actually mentioned Wooton Basset let alone made that argument. And the complaint made about Stevie's posts is his use of the term 'Joey Deacon' as an insult rather than his ideas.

They delivered a leaflet called "Tales of the Holohoax' to a synagogue in Blackpool. They published material that 'included images of murdered Jews alongside cartoons and articles ridiculing ethnic groups.'

But they're not just being jailed for their views–they distributed a large amount of hard copy and online material inciting racial hatred. It's nasty, dangerous and inflammatory stuff.

The Old Parsonage is owned by the same people that run Gees. I think it's better–a more intimate, warmer and quieter atmosphere and very very good food and wine. Chang Mai is a nice Thai place tucked away down one of the alleys off the High Street. Looks completely unlikely but the food's great.

If you're heading into east Oxford then my favourite by a long shot is Moya on St Clements. It's apparently the only Slovakian restaurant in the country with fantastic food and some dangerously good cocktails. Once you've eaten nip across the road into the Half Moon for a couple of pints of Guiness and a late night.

+ 1 for the Falklands War — must have been towards the end though because in my head we were in a caravan on a farm in Cornwall. I'd have been five.

A group of us ride on Shotover regularly as part of our weekly night rides. For that it's pretty good–a lot of single track (more than some people on this thread seem to realize) crammed into a very small space which means that you're constantly going up and down. Apart from the three main bridleways and the old road across the top it's all completely cheeky and can be hard to find if you don't have local knowledge. There isn't anything that you might call DH though–one run with berms and drops, another with a couple of large log jumps but apart from that it's the kind of tight twisty singletrack that even I can deal with.

It might be worth a drive from Reading just for a change. To be honest, though, I don't tend to ride there during the day on a weekend because it gets too busy with walkers and dogs.
