First event I’ve done in about 20 years, & first time I’ve ridden over 40 miles! All the steep bits in the woods were great fun, though a slippery root caught me out at one point, aching a bit today though, but all good fun.

If theres one, theres bound to be others, just put a couple of traps out before you go to bed, and its more than likely there will be one in them in the morning, repeat for a few more nights and that should get rid of them, if you don’t there will be loads of them in a short while, no point in getting sentimental about them, we were initially when we heard them scurrying around in our loft and left it a while, ended up getting 14 of them, & they had nibbled away at loads of pipe insulation.

I got an M20 last May, changed it to profile 2 & upped the assistance a bit in eco mode, use mostly trail & eco & most rides I do are between 15 -25 miles 2000 – 3500 ft climbing & haven’t run out of battery yet, I find the brakes are ok, & the E13 cranks haven’t fallen off yet, & the only thing I changed was the saddle

Had an M20 since May, & so far been great, exactly what I wanted, an ebike you can easily lift over stiles & gates

Nathan Barley was years ahead when it came out, & lots of it seem more relevant now than when it was originally released

I’ve just recently got an Orbea Rise, & cant find anything negative to say about it, handles just as well as my normal bike (YT Jeffsy) & although a bit heavier easy enough to lift over gates & stiles, I used to hate climbs, but this makes them fun.

We had a swarm of bees set up home in a part of our roof that is inaccessible to us 10 years ago, and they are still there! they swarm most years, but have caused no harm, one hot summer though we had honey dripping through the ceiling!

I’ve had a First Direct offset mortgage for the last 17 years, its served us well, as long as you keep tabs on how long is left on it & what repayments you need make its also been a very convenient and cheap way of borrowing additional money for additional house renovations over the years

I use WordPress with Elementor free plugin, only costs involved are some budget hosting at around £30 a year plus your domain, you can get some slick professional results with it, a little bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it its pretty easy

I had an iD, loved it at the time, rode it for 16 years, wanted to get my moneys worth out of it! finally got a new bike a couple of years ago, that anodized gold still looks like new when its cleaned up.

I’ve had a base Makita strimmer for the last 16 years and it’s worked perfectly

I’ve got the 2018 Jeffsy base, ridden it loads in all weathers, not serviced it yet over the last 2 years, I know I should have & keep intending to, had zero problems, I’d recommend it!

Meopta MeoSport 8×25’s are fantastic quality binos for the money, Meopta are a czech company, not that well known in the UK, but manufacture the glass for a lot of the high end brands.

After around 12 years of riding, I lost interest for about 4 years, started going back out a year ago, struggled to keep up but persevered, bought a new bike & I’m now as obsessed as I ever was, still struggle to keep up as my riding buddies are 15 – 20 years younger than me but I’ve noticed a significant improvement over the year, cant imagine giving up again,

My main bike is still a 2002 Ellsworth Id, on its 3rd set of forks, 3rd chainstay and almost every component apart from the wheels has worn out / broken over the last 11 years, still a great bike IMO, can’t see me changing it in the near future.

Could be the axle has snapped, I’ve had this happen a couple of times on my Hope XC rear hub
