I can get the lowers for about £160 (without stickers)…but if the bridge also need changing it would be a PITA. That said not sure a few mm offset would make that much difference and losing 10mm of travel would be OK for the frames I’m thinking about. Will ponder some more.

Yep…mine went a wee while ago too. Jungle did it under warranty (with a month to spare thank god). Turnaround time was about 10 working days with signed for postage.

Thanks deviant. You can get the frame on the cycle to work scheme for good money so may invest.

    Cheers

Personally I’d try and get a pair of xfusion slants and set them at 140. Stiffer than revs with 34mm stanchions…and internally adjustable between 120-160.

Think you need ZS44 and EC49…but don’t quote me on it! Drop Hope or the SC UK distributor an email to double check.

IME I’d buy S/H as if she doesn’t take to it, it won’t cost you a small fortune trying to sell a new bike for half of what you bought it for!

2013 & 2014 26″ sets and both been great. Slowish pick up rear hub and a bit annoying/expensive to convert between 9mm and 142mm…but light weight and pretty bomb proof. Graphics a PITA if you want to remove them tho!!

Only bought components from each but both have been good. When I bought a csixx chain protector from leisure they sent the wrong size… gave them a call, they sent the right one straight away and told me to take my time returning the other and paid my postage back.

Looks pretty slack IMO…green version with that spec does look crap right enough

^^^lol that’s what I suggested but in ti!

Sent a couple of suggestions to Brant and got a reply literally within minutes yesterday. He couldn’t build the things mainstream that I suggested as he’s working on a couple of things (which I won’t mention), but did offer a custom build for one of them.

Don’t quote me on this, but the Orange FAQ page says Alpine 2011> has zs44 top cup and zs56 bottom cup…but works only do ec44 top cup with zs56 bottom.

I’m running the ec44/zs56 tapered version (£79.99) on my Bandit and that is also meant to take zs44/zs56.

Not sure this helps…but drop works or orange an email

Think I’ve already said Soul on another thread, but as your after 29 or 27.5, try a Bird or Whyte 905 (bit more expensive at £1599…but good value for money).

Superstar or Uberbike…both miles cheaper. You don’t need the fins

Don’t bother with the finned pads. Superstar or uberbike IME.

My bike is pretty much the same as trigger’s brush in only fools and horses since I bought it ;)

Had the original charge lr when it first came out and it was good apart from the way the internal storage was laid. Sold that after getting the later version free with MBR subscription. This one again is a mixed bag (lol) as the storage has been sorted but the reservoir now goes in where it rests against your back which is a bit annoying. As stated already, it only has 2ltr so a bottle maybe needed for longer rides, but I get everything in, pump, couple of inner tubes, sarnies, and a waterproof no probs. It is much more comfy than the mule I had originally had. I would recommend…and Merlin can sometimes have good deals on them.

Same with the switchback ti (£1599) compared to the slackline ti (£1250)

Think shimano do a PDF with all the parts which have serial no’s. Then search the internet or drop Madison an email. Like I say…it could be pricey tho.

I’d keep it. Wrote off an XT on my first ride with a bent parallelogram. Spares will come in handy as new parts cost a fortune. I think a replacement parallelogram was gonna be £30ish!

Where the hell did this get resurrected from?

FWIW…several months on the Southpaw has been great…but there again its so simple in design and function not much can go wrong with it.

26″ 2014 Spesh Stumpy Carbon evo frame from Bikescene? Good sensible all rounder without the weight penalty?

OK…found a new frame from last year but wondered whether the dbCS is worth the extra €300 over a CTD?

Both the black and mint look good…but now I’m wavering more towards the black. Think I’ll need to see one in flesh to decide. Guess if I buy the black the wife won’t notice I got a new bike!

You could have at least cleaned the tyres goodgrief.lol ;)

Already have a ti frame, so raw would be too samey…
as would the black as I currently have a stealth bandit. TBH I should have bought an orange one when I had the chance. The mint reminds me of a Pace HT in ‘morris minor’ blue I saw a few years ago and is a bit different. If they did it in Rune green then that would have been my first choice.

^^^ so was it a warranty replacement or you loved it so much you needed another?!

Do like the black and seen one on vitalmtb with yellow crossmax enduros that looks really nice.

Nice. What wheel size and forks you running?

Been trying to get a hold of a blue or orange one…but they’re like fairy dust, so going to have to go 2015, but at least I get the inline option.

Saturday kitchen? I assume you mean your wife is getting in the way making you bacon butties and not the TV programme! ;)

Ti rings are harder than gold so its a bugger to cut off in event of an accident. Worse case scenario can be losing a finger…which is my excuse for not wearing mine ;)
