Turbine at 125g is the current one.

My Soul feels just a tad big for my 5′ 7″-8″. Really dont want to get rid and feel the small soul maybe too small.

American classic valves are pretty delicate by all accounts…so will start with oven cleaner and then soda.

Using a plating firm will hopefully not be necessary.

Why they only come in red i have no idea?!

    Marigolds with the soda then?

    Bonus…a fairly cheap way then!

    Thanks folks

Milton (also sucking it into the tube), then freezer.

Under no circumstances use toilet cleaner instead of bleach…as one indiotic rider did i met at cannock ( he was just about spewing).

If the thread looks interesting and i have something to offer then will regardless of the OP.

Some peoples comments irritate me…but sure its the same for others with me.

Not many folks on here are overly aggressive or abusive which is a nicety compared to other mainstream forums.

What would make for a good thread would be who you pay attention to or value their opinion the most.

Just remember they are both draggyish for the fact they come up big at near 2.5

Have run mine with 115-140 talas and 120.

115 was ok, 140 was too long…120 was just right.

If packed correctly then ive found it is…but you may need a bottle too.

Normally able to pack all my tools, tyre/shock pump, spare inner, couple of layers (heavy rain jacket can be a wee struggle…but fold wrap etc and it’ll fit in the stretchy bit), sarnies.

The side pockets can hold your multi too and snacks.

    Never needed another tbh.

Just cause you wrap a bike in helitape doesnt mean your a cautious rider…just prudent about possible future retail value…or OCD about aesthetics!

I nearly bought a ti slackline but opted for a soul instead for general trail/xc at a good £600 difference…a bfe would be even better savings for you.

Those savings have now ended up going towards a bandit…so having the best of both worlds.

    What about a shan?

I bought a pair pearl izumi wxb softshell 3×1 (with seperate inners) for £17 for the missus in small from amazon which im returning next week (missis prefers the wxb barriers).

You can have them for £20 posted (so mods not making any money as it costs £3.60 to post) if you want?

Think amazon are now selling them for about £50

I tried them on for size and the inners were just right with my 21cm knuckles circumference along with outers.

I just paid the same for two cars tyres as i did for two bike tyres…i still keep scratching my head over this…and the bike tyres were purgs.

Like me old grandad used to say…if your willing to pay the price…then thats what its worth.

Either dont buy it…or find a cheaper alternative.

Jury is still out on mine. Often heard the charge was good but the stitching ruined shorts so gave the scoop a whirl. Its used on the HT and although its not uncomfortable it is fairly hard

Last time I checked it was wiggle at £293…but that was a wee while ago.

Aye…think it was only 29. The new 650 comes in red or blue which tempted me…then remembered its 650 :(

I’m nae getting my bits in a twist…just putting the story straight.

Anyway, I may not even get the smalls as I’ve had no dispatch confirmation yet…so maybe I’ll be the one missing out (as the missus wont give me her pair!!)

Ajantom – to explain (although I don’t need to) I didn’t purchase several pairs to intentionally profit. I bought 2 larges as I thought they would fit and at that price it would be crazy not to get 2 pairs.

I also purchased a small for the missus which happened to fit me perfectly for some reason.

So I could either return the larges or sell them at a small profit to enable me to purchase another set of smalls.

The larges are actually sitting at £93 on amazon not £56 so the two lads that purchased the pairs have saved potentially £71.

If I was that obsessed with making a profit I would currently be purchasing the 7 remaining pairs of wxb 3×1 larges at £22.80 and flogging them on ebay for £50.

1 pair large received today, another due tomorrow and also a small…so may have 2 pairs going spare…or 3 if the smalls dont fit either!

Perhaps as i ordered 3 different pairs they are waiting to dispatch all 3 at the same time? Not about to get me knickers in a twist over it as at least some others have benefited from the original post.

No…but thinking they might be my next upgrade…even if i go 650b as they get good write ups too.

Lighter (but still rugged) wheelset and cassette?

Losing a lb from my wheelset up on my Soul has felt really good.

I bought a pair from ‘amazon’ at £12 and a pair from ‘freddie and george’ for £9.60 so hoping at least one comes through.

That said…looking at the size chart it reckons im a medium anyway.
