Might not help, but I once used a discount code on a current model camelbak which was only meant for camelbaks in the ‘sale’ category…and it worked. Some years ago mind.

The Hope and Wolf Tooth do specific ones for Shimano and SRAM whereas OneUp is built to be used with either. Whether being specific or not is better I’m not sure. Got a Wolf Tooth 42 on the way and waiting to use my Xmas CRC vouchers on a Hope…hopefully this week after a reply to my facebook comment.

Got my ti wedding ring from the jewellery 1/4 in Brum…£60. Just remember its easier to cut off your finger than a ti ring in an accident!

V666ern – I know it wasn’t me that sold you it…I would never sell a bike as good as that!! Think I may have put you in touch with someone that did as that frame was too big for me 🙁

Carbon bars and spacers is about all I’ll stretch to. Carbon does look lovely but justifying an extra grand for a frame and a couple of lbs saving is too much…and I dont trust 2nd hand carbon.

Not sure about tax/vat…Will wait and see. The OneUp one costs $100 (£60) and no-one on the forum has mentioned paying tax etc?

Had a look at one in the flesh at Brum bike show when I was considering lower spec one. Cabling around/underneath the bb looked less than desiring IMO

This may seem daft, but have they adjusted the brake lever reach which gives the feeling of them being ‘back to the bars’?

Ditched the lites as they were gawping. Running Kenesis Strut and Mt Zooms…decent price, weight and strength with no noticeable flex

We sterilise bottles obviously, but are fairly unworried by germs and let our little one play with the dog etc and yes he gets ill but builds his immunity up.

Less exposure to germs will make them more fragile and get worse illnesses IMO.

What happened to only having a bath once a week on Sunday when you we’re a kid?!

I have an Easton Haven all black and it looks lovely, but only comes in 0 degree rise and 55mm.

Have ordered a Syntace Megaforce 2 from the US. They start at 30mm, look good, really light and are meant for all mountain and bars up to 800mm and have a 5 degree rise. Bit pricey mind and shipping is going to take a while. 🙁

I love ‘trying’ to get air and most often it scares the crap out of me…which is why I keep doing it. If I ever master the skill I think it maybe a lot less exciting.

Rolling, jumping…it doesnt matter as long as you enjoy what and how you ride and push yourself to do the things you would like to master.

Coolhandluke – I would have had to report the thread if no one posted a pic of her in the gold hotpants from the spinning around vid…but she is starting to show her age now.

Anyone know if Works Components have one in the offing?

Northwind – where did you get yours from?

Duir – did you change any smaller cogs to stop the big gap down to the smallest cog?

Oct 2012 – a really small simple drop which I tried getting some air from…landed heading straight towards a tree…hauled on the brakes…otb…but forgot to let go of the bars…one cracked helmet, ti saddle, 3 inch gash in hip and broken collar bone. Used an inner tube as slingto get me back to the car. Collar bone still gives me grief even now.
