Renton – I have a 26t if you want it? Not a huge amount if miles on it and all for the price of postage…sorted!

Curious – get a 6ltr 1.5 hp compressor from sgs engineering and couple it with a prestaflator…should work out at £99

b r – I would just prefer it being a bit more secure. Cant say Ive noticed more or less stiffness with my fs 142×12.

I think it harks back to when I took off a jump several years ago and the rear QR had worked loose…made for a surprising landing…and not a pleasant surprise either 🙁

Ideally I was looking for something like a slackline ti geo…but all I can find is the new 650b explosif and hummer with 142.

Think Im just have to bite the bullet and get the slackline and not worry about the dropout situation.

I have troy lee knee/shin guards kg5550 and fox enduro elbow pads.

Neither have huge protection…but enough for me on the toughest UK trails

42t cog just arrived…with no tax or shipping/handling charges.

Looks really well made…but is a good deal heavier than the OneUp (86g compared to OneUp claimed 71g).

On a similar theme…going to Hopton Sat, but can you ride the black runs easily enough on a 120 HT (Soul)?

Mortop or syntace stem and mt zoom carbon bars?

Specialized tyres are fairly light weight, durable compound, easy on and off…and cheap!

Wouldnt have thought so but the chase does like to devour cassettes and chains with sand/grit paste in the wet…which it has been for months.

The reason I got the Struts was because my TT is pretty short on my Bandit and the shorter sweep means I can still run a pretty short stem with room to breathe.

Mainly around the midlands but occassional trips to rocky Wales. Never suffered running purgs or dampfs which also have thinnish walls in Wales before.

My mt zooms have been real good so far but if youre running ks remote you’ll need some electric tape underneath as its too narrow to clamp properly.

The struts do flex at 15mm rise, but I’m fairly light so the flex isnt that noticeable…I also got them new for £45 so can live with it (and the shininess!).

    Both are VERY light.

Pairing the zooms with a syntace stem this morning. 50mm stem and bars weigh about the same as a fatbar light (stem 119g).

32 front and 36 rear…and I’m really unfit and manage OK around Cannock. Will need a 42 rear for Welsh fire roads tho or a manual granny.

Wish I’d done that at Cannock on my day off yesterday. Freezing **** fog at 7am. Mind you…the only company I had was squirrels…which is a first around there.

Works (as I like British too) and an RF bought with bday crc vouchers…no dropped chains with either.

Defo prefer the works lack of emblazoned graphics.

No. Too expensive compared to mt zooms and other equally good brands. They still continue to have the gawping gold colour on them too.

The one I’ve seen is £66 inc postage…which seems decent considering, although the 24ltr is £75.

Gonna give the 6ltr a whirl. Everytime I make a ghetto it starts pissing air after one use. The 6ltr one also looks pretty transportable.

    Thanks for the advice.

Same principle as fitting a new chain no? Big to big without going through the RD plus 2?

Here’s hoping the day was sunny and he was on ‘cheeky’ trails around the Stoney mast enjoying it to the full.

Deepest sympathies to the family and friends.

    RIP messiah
