Thought my MK3 Soul was awesome (apart from sitting exactly between sizes)…but the Slackline Ti is something else. Incredibly light on the ups, pretty bomb proof on the downs and find it good on long rides. Aesthetically its incredibly well detailed…just a bugger to keep shiny and free of finger prints! Will be keeping well after the war of the wheels is over.

I’ve had a Turbine 60mm and RF ride and currently have a Haven 55mm and a Syntace megaforce2 50mm. I guess rise should come into the equation?

Out of all of them I think the Haven is my favourite. Light, good looking and was pretty cheap from Merlin. The turbine came from Amazon for less than £40 too to be fair.

Syntace was stupid money off ebay and bought whilst drunk! Took weeks to arrive too. Never had a stem with hex bolt heads as big…Thomson X5 look miniscule in comparison.

Mortop do a load in a range of sizes and colours. The bolts sticking out is a marmite thing though

727g with double rings 38/24 175mm…so fairly similar I imagine.

England not to escape their group. South American team to win…just not sure which. Would like to see some surprises like New Zealand last time.

Personally I’d swap the bars for something black, ditch the green stuff, add a dropper and raise the forks to 150mm.

That said…it looks rather sexy! That purple and black looks ace!

Think the vid had body position more at fault than anything else…can you imagine being clipped in that situation?!

Only trouble with them is the stitching can ruin your shorts. Scoop maybe a better alternative albeit a wee bit more expensive?

What about all the crap/water that would get into the electrics along with the endless bouncing dislodging soldered bits?

Steve1 – would be interesting to do a direct build comparison between our bikes as mine is a 16″ running air forks and yet we both seem to have the same weight?

Try an uberbike bb…£35 and every bit as good as Hope IMO. I’ve had two now and the first is 2 years old and is as smooth as the day I got it without any maintenance (and that’s with riding round the Chase in that god awful sandy paste during both winters).

Fixing up my bro in laws bike (trance x4) as a bit of a ‘thank you’ tonight with some spare bits and a few bought 2nd hand/new.

Already dropped 1.76lb changing coil fork and wheels (and the wheels are crossrides)!

Reckon it’ll drop by at least another 2lb when finished…1×10 chainset upgrade, bars/stem etc

I’ve just realised I’ve only got 25mm tape and its way too big!!

Guess my bro in law will be waiting a wee while until I get it all sorted for him!

My slackline ti weighs just over 25lbs with a frame weighing just 3.3lbs. It is running 160 fork, dropper SLX 1×10…so not bad and tough enough for all round use. Don’t think the nanos help at 1lb

What’s zee on a par with then? I read you can’t upshift by 2…which SLX can do now, so is it deore?

Shimano…never any issue apart from once stripping the pedal threads from stupidly inserting the wrong side pedal (but they still gave me another crank arm despite my own stupidity :) )

I picked up mine for £47 new off eBay. Needed less sweep as my TT is quite short. Pretty good so far…but very lightweight so not sure just how well they’ll hold up. At 740 you could have had mt zooms.

I went shorter as I kept having too much weight over the front on the downs…going OTB a no. of times.

Both bikes now run 50mm with 740/750 bars. Takes a bit of getting used to on the ups, but once mastered…it makes the downs a lot more fun (and marginally less dangerous).
