Squirrel – I have spare head doctor if you want? A little beaten up but can have it for postage price.

No FD to piss about with anymore, more room for a dropper remote, decent weight saving and an incentive to actually work harder, gain fitness and lose weight off your own body too. What’s not logical about it all? Perhaps 3x and 2x are the gimmicks like 650b?

My XT clutch has been fine for 18 months and SLX just as good. I do tend to crash on my left so generally my rds last quite well!

Flying Ox – yes, this is compulsory…and change to 650b while you’re at it

Using mine right now. Camera is good for closer pics, screen is great, phone call quality is a bit off…thinking 16g may have been better than 8gb as after set up you only have 4-5gb left

With drac on this. Drummed into my kids heads you keep a respectful distance away from dogs you do not know, much the same as you would teach your kids about strangers…as my parents taught me. May not stop them being bitten in situations say where a kid runs round a blind corner into one…but does mitigate it a whole lot better than letting kids either think there are no dangers or by letting them learn for themselves with unfortunate results.

Are they really made in the UK? Didn’t know that.

Look better than the on ones for same price too

^^^ no luck selling the frame? They’re gorgeous…tried to get one before my current ti frame.

Isnt the theory that the lightening hits the highest point i.e. your head, so sticking your ass in the air makes the lightening pass from your ass to the ground without frying your brain (making sure you keep your head off the ground… stopping a circuit?) At least i think that’s what I read somewhere.

Sold my Soul only because I was between sizes and couldn’t fit it well enough…but the ride was good and wasn’t sure I could replicate the comfiness on anything else. Saved up and got a ti frame that is the perfect size and rides even better IMO. Sometimes you have to replace the things you love in order to find something even better…just don’t tell the wife I said that ;)

Clutch is a very good idea. SLX is great IMO. I used the bolts from my double set up without issue.

Have an RF and Works on my bikes. Got an on one ringmaster for my brother in law before they raised the price. Ringmaster isn’t particularly pretty tbh…but for £20 at the time does the job.

Courageous decision…not necessarily and apologies if it appeared I was scare mongering. You have to be vigilant with all dogs around kids no matter how good or bad natured they are. They have good days and bad days just like humans. My dog can take the hump with our little one due to less attention…however he doesn’t hesitate to ward off other dogs when out with little one in his buggy and is mightily protective. Take a bit more time to make the decision IMO.

Another concern now might be how your dog interacts with your newborn. Some dogs can become quite jealous of a new entrant into their lives. Given he has nipped a little one I’d be extra vigilant when the little one starts crawling etc. Thankfully mine is OK with ours but you can tell he gets a bit peed off now and again.

I prefer mismatched suspension with 150 up front and 130 rear…which covers most riding (bar full out DH).

Depends on which emotion that brings the tears. Paedo kills or molests child…sheer volatile anger. Anguish/sadness…the end scene in Bladerunner “time to die.” Happiness…hearing my kids laugh out loud uncontrollably. The list is quite limitless.

A lady I work with admittedly otb’d when mtbing while checking out the ass of the rider in front…if his is too nice it could pose a H&S hazard?

If you know you lbs well…nothing (in my case). Tenner tops…takes minutes with the right tool which they should have.

That’ll be it. Tend to hover over the bumpy stuff on the HT and be lazy with FS and stay sat down the majority of the time.

Was at Cannock/Brocton at 7am and it was glorious all morning. Considering the huge thunderstorm yesterday and torrential rain all day it was a lot drier on and off piste than I imagined it would be.

If you have to buy a new set of cranks then triple would be better. How much shorter do your cranks need to be? Thinner pedals could be a different option? Superstar deltas are 14mm as opposed to say an old v12 at 25mm?

Seen the below go on eBay recently for:-

    Forks £150
    Frame £160-£180
    Wheels £80-£100

Not sure the rest is worth £200?

Try £550…and pinkbike is quite good for selling hardcore hardtails.

    Looks like a 16″?

Guess it depends OP if you have more than 1 bike and if you have a particular preference for one over the other…and then realise having more than one isn’t feasible.

For me, if I’m going to spend hundreds of pounds on a frame and forks…then I’m going to helitape them to death with stuff off eBay for a tenner. Washing a bike down, drying and lubing takes 30 mins…why wouldn’t you did after every ride?

Surely it’s the rider to blame from lack of experience/finesse or even the conditions…not the just the bike?

OP, I second your motion and also suggest we remove twigs and leaves so that we can run slick tyres for maximum enjoyment.

    Seriously…WTF?!

I dislike braking bumps as much as anyone but FSers causing it?

9/10 in a recent MBR…but they couldn’t comment on longevity. A lady on here is running a sexy pink pair on her Santa Cruz and says they are good so far.

Is it a longer mech? Not unknown for the wrong size to be boxed up and labelled as something else? Is it a clutch also?

No way worried about weight..just more interested if the thickness will improve the chain line on my brother in laws double.

It’s a 32t. Not sure if it’s because my RF and works have cut out sections all the way around and bolt recesses…maybe my mind is playing tricks on me!
