Are they £500 (as well as maintenance costs) better is the real question. I’ll be sticking to pikes.

Nope…just buy one. You’ll not regret it.

I’ve got XT and SLX on my set ups (SLX is best cost wise) and triple for the better chainline (plus new SLX double tabs rub on some single NW rings below 34t).

Clutch mech is a must for me and SLX is a middle ground for performance v cost (after just writing off a new XT mech on its maiden voyage!). Short or medium cage depending on the NW ring up front with 11-36.

Shifter wise XT…but Saint if you have the money.

Recommend a new cassette and chain.

Take your pic of NW front rings…but I like the Works components…made in the UK.

    Bandit 26″ medium – 28.2lb
    150 pikes
    Fox CTD
    AC all mountain wheels
    LEV + southpaw
    XT 1×10 (wolftooth expander)
    SLX brakes
    Strut carbon bars
    Haven 55mm stem
    Purgs F&R
    Charge scoop saddle

Will be more with its new ccdb inline…when it finally arrives.

No issue…just long cage as stated above. Might not make things massively better as you’ll be running a long chain no matter what with your current set up. I used a c guide which was pretty good along with a clutch and was much quieter than the clutch on its own with 3×10.

If you can afford to, start thinking about 1×10…no chainslap whatsoever now!

^^^ I’m 38″ chest and I go for a ‘medium’ (m/m) which is S (UK/USA/D) in a mavic jersey and it fits really well with room for a baselayer underneath…so that’s what I’ve gone for with this. I think mavics new crossmax H20 is basically the same jacket with a different name…but full price!

Better than RRP of £85…plus all sizes available compared to other places on the internet. Also a lot cheaper than the Gore I just returned.

I think loco may have some of the specialized rockshox stealth graphics?

Deviant – I’d have to disagree…these dual RCT3 pike on my HT are startling good at either 130 or 160!

Soon to have ccdb inline…and a black LEV cable housing cover. Will also change the pivot bearing covers to black when the bearings need replacing.

Saint shifter on both bikes…massive improvement especially going up and down with multiple shifts. Really crisp and accurate if set up correctly.

Try evans and sign up to their newsletters for £5 off…making it £35

I’m lost for words over that BTR.

Real shame about the rocket…by Cotic will pull something out of the bag in the near future I bet.

Had a proper mare with mine today. Far too much pressure, weather was so shit that I didn’t want to stop and only realised half away around that i hadn’t made any adjustments to the compression or rebound. Then to add insult…wrote off a brand XT mech and its first ride. Why or why didn’t I cycle yesterday?! :(

My new duals from alltricks started pissing out air when trying to add more psi…then realised I was doing it in the low travel setting after 5 mins. Numpty!

First ride out on them today, but wish I’d done it yesterday as we’re in for some shit weather. :(

No spoon in the line up. Scoop, Line, Cell and ALM.

Just seen the STW news page where this was all news in July. 3 different models of scoop…with different rail types too!

Not sure about the 2014 version but I’m 5’7″ and my 2013 medium feels a tad on the small side. Suspension is exactly the same and I’m moving to a db inline for exactly the same reason you mention (even with biggest volume spacer). Can’t wait for the new shock and will be fitting a slightly longer stem shortly (currently running 55mm stem and 750mm bars). No issues on the ups or downs…more the flat? Running 150mm up front too.

That is a nice bike…pity I got a ti frame earlier this year otherwise I would have had that.

Yunki -I did take the plunge and got a bandit to compliment the soul…been pretty good so far but I run mine with 150mm up front so may not be ideal for the OP. I reckon the T130 would be a good shout like already mentioned…and in orange too!

^^^ this…and use a normal gear cable ferrule.

I have two LEVs and this solved it without zip tying anything.

Taking the rear gusset away doesn’t make it look like a Soul or Slackline…of which I had/currently have. The gusset breaks up the lines and looks unkempt. If its there structurally it shows Cotic Bfe/Stanton are built better IMO.

For the record the slackline has the sexiest rear end I’ve seen…apart from the wife obviously. ;)

The patrol looks OK, but it’ll be as heavy as a tank if my bandit frame is anything to go by. ‘Giddy up’ suspension lol

Interesting to see how the AM V4 compares to the Capra.

Nice vid too…although it was adorned with BOS front and rear not as stated in the specs.

Its £230…but with some specific matther01 discount or else I would share it.

Only comes in HV and M/M though so no idea if it would be good for me or the bike…and cannot find anything review wise or who has one on a bandit.
