Promax one is OK but really fiddly with minute screws.

    OP…just get a LEV, problem solved ;)

Speak to jungle…and they’re really good at servicing and turn around has been less than a week in my case. Not sure how much it will cost tho.

Stanton were doing small 16″ slackline 631 in black for a reduced price. Great geo, granted a bit heavy…but really comfy.

    I’m 5’7″-5’8″ and have a 16″ ti slackline and its spot on…albeit I have a 32″ leg!

Heard you can change the 26″ dual to 27.5…making them 150/120 instead of 160/130. Not sure about offset etc tho.

My Slackline Ti sporting 160/130 dual pikes. It’s so light for being a LT HT it’s ridiculous…and the ride is even better than the Soul it replaced (which was a proper shock). I hope I never have to sell her!

130 on the ups…160 on the downs

You requested them to do something which they then ignored…so you’re bound to be pee’d off and don’t blame you. You were kind enough to show them around…the least they could have done was respect your wishes.

Cheers legend – you’ve just saved me £5!

Wiggles – already have a charge but wanted something even smaller/lighter for quick 1-2 blasts.

Are the Troy Lee ones mentioned above the E-lites or shock doctors? Looking for a pair myself and stuck between fox enduros and the TLD E-lites

You made a mistake and I did too. I purposely didn’t mention you here as I was after “collective” idea on what I should do to try and recoup some of my costs. It may very well be RM speaking out of their bottoms. Sorry you’ve been dragged into this on STW…wasn’t my intention.

Hopefully I can start to sort it out after 25 Sept.

I for one would love to know what RM do with all their unclaimed parcels! Wouldn’t feel so bad if they auctioned everything off and it goes to charity…rather than the cynical alternative of it being nicked.

Sorry mate…but RM stated your road is “even no.s only” and couldnt find no.27 with your postcode or using Google…so no idea what to do. They didn’t appear to want to give me a refund if id labelled it incorrectly…as technically its “my fault.”

Right…I’m even more of a TOOL as I refunded by pp gift as a normal refund would have taken 5-7 days and he really needed the cash to get a new set of cranks asap.

Oh well once bitten and all that :(

Never had issues with RM before so continued to use them. Law of averages I guess.

Hora – I’m definitely one life’s nice, naïve idiots who always sees the good in people…think I maybe in a minority these days

    Thanks for all the replies.

It was sent recorded not special and it appears that there was no return label on it…when I know there was…and apparently now sent to Belfast and cannot be found (although they are going to do another search). Not hopeful :(

I know have to wait until 25th Sept for the results and then fill in the refund forms.

Should I try PP to reverse the payment until I know the outcome?

I resent that to have a good 1×10 set up I need an expander sprocket costing £50. Shimano pull you finger out and give me an all in one 11-40 or 11-42 for around £50!!!

Ahhh…don’t say this. Thinking of getting mine done this year…albeit mine is torn rather than ruptured and is livable, just incredibly annoying and at times very painful!

All the best and hope you have a swift recovery!

    I would expect:-

    1) Know what the hell you’re doing
    2) Don’t treat me in a condescending manner because I don’t
    3) Clear pricing and timescales
    4) If you screw up…by honest and then fix it (it really is a great way to retain customers)
    5) Fully insured in the event bike is stolen while in your possession etc
    6) Be passionate about bikes and those that ride them
    7) For really regular customers squeeze in the odd job when its an absolute emergency

My repair guy does all the above and I never go anywhere else (5 years now). If he doesn’t charge me full price or does things in an emergency (i.e. drilling out stuck crank bolts without destroying the cranks, amen)…then a pack of beer is also given over to him as thanks.

My garage is such a dumping ground these days, I’m surprised every time I manage to find my bikes.

I went from a medium soul to a 16.5 ti slackline and the fit is much better but I’m 5’7″. I’m running 50mm stem and 740mm bars…but could probably even go a shorter stem tbh. All day wise, mine is perfect and done the dyfi enduro so far and will be doing the CYB enduro next month on it. Currently run dual 160/130 pikes. Geo is sorted with decent slack HA and pretty short stays making it proper poppy. Only downside to the 631 is weight compared to mine or the ti456.

Can’t you just run a really small stem if TT is too long on the bikes mentioned? Hope 35mm maybe?

Poah – good write up. Fitted and rode my 190×50 today but single pivot.

All I can say is that it is far better than CTD that it replaced on my 26″ Bandit. Very little peddle bob on the ups and small bump sensivity is maintained but not at the expense of bigger hits.

170psi was far too much as recommended by TF for my 75kg. Sitting at 160ish now.

Strange…I started off at 170, but mid ride stopped and checked…but was 150? Hope I don’t have a leaky one. Will check again tomorrow.

So far so good though. Will be tweaking a little at a time though.

George – it was wrapped in pictures of shoes from a magazine…I’ve gotten the not so subtle hint!

Its also taken my ten mins just to get the bloody zip ties of the shock ends without damaging anything…grrr

^^^ didn’t know about the 80kg thing…best not be putting too much weight on then!

Was thinking of ccdb air cs…but thought it was a bit overkill on 130mm bandit. Plus its £100 cheaper.
