Troy Lee ODIs are brilliant IMO.

Nope…probably because they’re not ridden enough or hard enough…or I’m just lucky

LEV +1. Have one on each bike with the southpaw. Both have required a service/repair in the last 18 months…but Jungle are great (really fast turnaround) and it came under the two year warranty too.

Had a reverb originally… but had endless problems bleeding and cable routing issues.

I’d be shocked if ‘claimed’ weight is the reality tbh

They’ve got €100 off the frames too at the moment. I was contemplating the v4 frame…awaiting some reviews first too.

Slight highjack – but does anyone know if you can use a CS7900 16t with a XT cassette?

OP – the main thing is you like it…so get out and ride it asap.

Switchback is 66 when sagged with 140mm forks…so probably 65.5 with 150 forks.

Just meant that since they’ve done it with the slacklines (631/853/ti) they would have kept it with the switchback. Maybe its to help the weight?

Not XL…but found a medium on eBay new for £1475? Might be more in bigger sizes?

Hadn’t realised it was 30.9mm as my slackline ti is 31.6mm. Thought they would have kept that standard?

Up to 160mm on the Stanton

    YT or new Commencaal V4?

Mine is the ti version (sorry no pics as using my phone) and I think its 0.5 slacker than a standard slackline. Running SLX brakes, 1×10 SLX with Saint shifter and XT rear mech with dual 160/130 pikes and LEV dropper. Mine is coming in at about 25lb and is capable of blasts or all day jobs. I’m 5’7″ running a 16.5 frame with 50mm/740mm cockpit.

My one and only gripe is that there are no bottle mounts…otherwise its an incredible piece of workmanship.

Actually…there is one more gripe…it gets lots of fingerprints all over it! Lol

Must admit my recent CRC vouchers are likely to go on these…as I can’t really wait for the spesh 2fo. Had to re-apply the superglue to the AMs again today!

Have only ever run mine with a 150mm Pike and its been good…but I have just ordered a 1 degree angleset to slacken it to 66.5.

Not had any peddle strikes…since running 165mm cranks, thinnish peddles and the ccdb inline is also helping.

Saw a load of other posts on another forum, with zero problems. They were however all from the US I believe, where it only ever appears to be sunny (apart from Seattle)!

    Damn this dreich UK weather!!

Thanks folks…looks like I’ll be taking the plunge withe the works 1 degree.

Read a thread on here about putting the cups in the freezer a couple of hours and then hopefully they can be installed by hand (fingers crossed!).

Any idea what angle size I should go for? Currently running 150 forks which should make current HA 67.5, and not sure whether to go 1 or 1.5.

The BB is pretty low but I’m running 165mm cranks so either way shouldn’t be too disastrous. More concerned about the handling on the ups on switchbacks.

A guy on PB is running a 2.5 with 150…but he is an American?!

How much did you pay for yours? Freeborn are doing them for £130, but like NW says, not sure I can justify it…but does look mighty pretty!

CC ones do look really good but not sure I can justify £180?! Although I do have a mate living in the states and is coming back at Christmas

Wonder if a bigger ‘domed’ top cap would help or ceramic bearings?

Pikes are far stiffer and better IMO. As above…spec your own reverb for much less if you need one

I on the other hand have read through all 17 bloody pages (commenting on one some several months ago!) and would also gratefully request some wisdom!

Anyone know what ERD I’d need for AC 32H hubs on 650b 35mm hookless? As it seems as some ERDs quoted are a bit off.

What is the best finish (as I’m liking the matt UD best but could be swayed)?

What spokes/nipple combo for rider weight v light wheel build (about 12.5st trail riding with odd enduro)? Was hoping for 1500-1600g

    Cheers

I got caught between two sizes with one size being too tight around the calves and the other too loose above the knee.

Went for the bigger ones and they’re pretty good but do slip down after a while and can rub. Just wish they had a wrap above the knee and they’d be perfect for me.

Thanks for the replies. Going to wait and put them somewhere safe for a rainy day…although last year I did the same thing and lost them for 2 months, eventually finding them in the bottom of my camelbak?!

Think you might have taken this biking business too far already giving it pride of place in your front room…most normal people have TV or fireplace ;)

You could be really really cheeky and ask TFtuned for their opinion for a base setting for your bike. Sure they’d be willing especially as they are such a good company.

Tftuned – can help this guy out?

What CCDB? Inline or CCDB Air?

Either way…I sold my near new CTD kashima for £200 so price wise it makes sense. Performance wise it depends on how much tuneability you like and the frame. My inline is far superior to the CTD it replaced and really happy with it on my bandit.

It will also be a bit heavier…or a lot heavier with an Air.
