Lovely! Agree that detailing on the frames is stunning. My ti one is a work of great art and craft IMO

Isnt it 200g difference? Also the standard ccdb air doesn’t have the switch for climbing. Guess it boils down to what you’ll be using the bike for

What are using it for? As a whip…and don’t want to infect anyone with the grease?! ;)

I’d be interested too, as they’re built like a tank…in a good way.

Not sure about 27.5, but my 26 has been great with pikes…but changed the fox ctd for a ccdb inline and slackened to 66.5 HA. Defo be sure about sizing as suggested but think the 27.5 is longer in the TT than the 26.

Love that green, but change to 1×10 as soon as you can…and buy an Audi while you’re at it. ;)

Just fitted a Works to my Bandit and glad I didnt spend a fortune on the Cane I was thinking of.

Northwind – do you hammer out the bearing cartridge with the cup installed or do you remove the entire cup… as they’re really tight to get out before installing the cups!

Give Winstanleys an email as I had trouble finding the right adapters to go from 142 to QR too. They sorted me out and they were pretty cheap too.

Nearly bought a Solaris…but glad I opted for the Soul. Saved me a fortune and never once regretted it. Just get the sizing right.

I’ve heard you shouldn’t due to the extra tension you could put on the chain leading to snapping…but then I also remember seeing some stock norco’s running this?!

Call Tf…they’ll know what to do. Very helpful bunch IME

However…just realised its £1600! I think I can live without the dropouts…and the additional cost of bigger wheels and forks

    Its got 142 dropouts

Yep…my phone too. Look fairly decent watches…bar the name! Sounds like a very old packet of crisps. Lol

IMO yes. Gone from a set of 5 degree backsweep and 4 up to 8 back and 4 up…much better on my wrist, especially on the downs.

@ curious – I generally do all the flatish bits and uphills running 130 and its fine. I’ve forgotten a few times going downhill to set at 160 and its been OK…but then when you remember to switch it…it becomes incredibly composed and super plush and I end up berating myself for forgetting to do it on the previous downhills. I got mine from alltricks for about £400.

I have had the Mt Zooms for over a year and zero problems…look 10 times better and cost a lot less than the Renthals. They just don’t come in as many rises etc.

Ran my slackline with 120s and it was good…but it was begging for some longer forks.

A bit like Steve I now run my ti with 160 but dp version pikes. It really is brilliant downhills front and rear…and pretty nimble up hill in the 130 setting.

If you want something different from the 5 I’d go Soul. I swapped my mk3 Soul for the slackline purely because I wanted a ti frame that was a bit ‘do it all’.

No…1/2lb additional weight over a standard alu post for some serious advantages make it a no brainer IMO

The Ellesworth looks all hunched up like some kind of old lady with osteoporosis… no idea why? Intense is long and slack with better lines…just easier on the eye all round.

Once came across a ti hardtail prototype they were selling on eBay. Emailed for sizing/geo/wheel size etc..and was advised they had no idea!

Don’t they have loads of breathing vents on the upper where the toes are, letting loads of water in?

Quick question. Does the Aeris sport cable guides for a non stealth dropper?

All the pics seem to show just one cable guide for the rear DR under the TT.

I’d be loathe to ditch my perfectly good standard LEV :(

KS LEV if you don’t already have a dropper

Bugger…got mine for £350 from alltricks. They’re bombproof and really light and wide. Great for tubeless too. Engagement on the rear isnt great but fine when you get used to it.

Bike Hand Repair Stand at High on Bikes for £55 posted.

I’ve had mine for 2 years and its been brilliant. Well built, sturdy and folds up pretty well too. No need to spend a fortune when you can have this middle priced, well performing one.

Think it got an award in a cycle mag and loads of good reviews on Amazon which is why I went for it.

I’m just hoping the 77 designz chain guide ends up being made by Superstar or another cheapo company. £35…and that doesn’t even include postage!

When it speaks about ‘length’…it means teeth capacity not actual length perse. There is some kind of maths behind it all which I think it goes into in the shimano docs. A GS will be on its limit with the combo you have, but like I said mine worked fine on both bikes.

Plus having a GS will be perfect when you eventually go 1×10 ;)

I ran gs (medium) without any issue.

Read that the knuckleball is made in a factory that makes high end carbon frames…and golf equipment?

Would prefer the graphics to be a little less white…but at least its not renthal gold!
