£300 Gas & £75 Electric for December £775 in credit before that, at least one of us WFH each day, all 4 of us off work/school for past 2 weeks, hoping Jan will be milder and I’ll be in office more.

We used one of my Dad’s old Rugby team mates for our current house purchase after having issues with the solicitor on 1st house purchase, even using an old mate it ended up with my Dad having to go to his house and speak to him and hurry him up as a **** up the chain was threatening to sue us if we delayed his purchase. The ‘mate’ was basically ignoring us when we called.

Great episode, like the Eddie Kidd tribute they can do something different other than dicking about. Paddy gets a lot of stick on this thread and he can be a bit overly ladish but I think this episode and the Eddie Kidd episode prove he’s alright really, I think 🤔

ah cheers BA.Nana – I had downloaded Loop a few weeks ago and dropped out of the registration process as it wanted card details and I knew very little about the app. I mean’t to ask on here if anyone was using it, will have another look at it now, thanks.

And just got an email from she’ll asking to up DD to £286, they can do one.

Latest bill is £134, up from £101 in Sept, predicted usage was £433 according to Shell! Now £757 in credit as they’ve been taking £220 a month DD. We’ve definitely used the heating less but I was expecting a bigger bill than that, had smart meters installed about 6 weeks ago so a bit paranoid they have screwed the readings up somewhere.

All black converse all star for office and grey Adidas Hamburg for home (Adidas from outlet for £39 and converse from Schuh sale for £45) having to have separate clothes/shoes for office as a bike commuter is traumatic but I guess I’ve saved thousands in car/train over last 7 years.

Yes, went down to 1 car 6 years ago after my company car was given back after moving offices. Now cycle to work year round although hybrid working lately, wife can walk to work and kids can walk to school. Most of my activities involve mates so can get lifts,if I’m out she’s home with kids and vise versa. Probably have to hire a car once a year if she’s goes away with friends a grab a lift and pay my mate fuel and buy him coffees/beer. Shops and supermarket walkable as is climbing wall and decent bars so it’s been easy really.

As others have said 2nd hand, loads of shoes get sold as people buy them too tight (been there done that), use twice then sell. I’m fortunate to have an Adidas outlet store nearby so all 5.10 shoes are £30 or £40. EBay or FB marketplace.

Only half watching, am I right in thinking he paid 250k to a Latvian company for the glass and when they failed his Sister owned or ran a glass company so she sorted him out?

If you click through his friendly looking avatar pic you see a pic of a gold watch and double bracelet wearer holding a massive stack of cash, maybe he’s a Tory or works for shell?

I also picked up a forerunner 735XT from that seller with the 15% off, hadn’t seen the link above just pure coincidence, its second hand although condition is pretty good but it won’t turn on (been charging for maybe 30 mins) but doesn’t look good :-(

Our chippy does Irish curry, I’ve always wanted to ask WFH is that but so far have stuck with mild or Chinese curry. Sriracha mayo for the win with fries.

As said by others my dad told me at 18 when I started bike commuting, assume everyone wants to kill you and don’t wear tarmac coloured clothing, still alive 27 years later but it’s definitely worse on the roads so I use the canal now and take a slightly longer slower route to avoid the nobbers.

Dad is 82 this year, still does a 30 or 40 mile club ride on Tuesday and a 20 or so on Sunday morning, he says he will get an ebike when he gets older, he has had to switch to flat bars as a bit of arthritis means he can’t pull the brakes on the drops, he does more miles a week than me! Use it or lose it.

New Mac? If it’s an M1 it will probably be using WiFi 6 (802.11ax) v’s maybe 802.11ac maybe on PS4, Mac most probably using 5ghz,does PS4 support 5ghz or just 2.4ghz? I’d download WiFi explorer to get an idea of signal strength & neighbouring networks as well, might need to switch channels if next door are using the same channel. Also test via wired to prove the broadband connection is good.

Got close passed by a lady in a BMW the other week, straight country road clear for 300m,she then fully crossed the white line to avoid a pothole, so basically an alloy on her 15 year old BMW is more important than a fellow human, bloody cyclists.
